I currently have to enter people tags into keywords separately, doubling this task. I'd prefer the people tags to go directly into keywords.

Keywords already have a place in export and in importing into other software.... Including people in keywords would really be ideal.

@graymarcy

Ah, when I export images for friends/family I never export keywords or other meta-data. So I never noticed.

I would suggest instead that what you are rally after the ability to include people in the export. This is likely a much smaller lift for Adobe.

Our company exports from lightroom and archives in another program for others to access the photos for use in other areas of our company. For example, the design team, web team, social media, sending to outside media, etc.

Keywords attach to the file and import into the other system. People tags do not. Therefore, we tag people for the facial recognition feature, then have to select all with that person and paste the name into the keywords. Should not have to do that..It doubles the already long and tedious job of keywording the photos.

Please explain; I am not following. I only put people in keywords when the facial tagging system fails.

Otherwise, I have no issues searching for and finding people, no matter how it is recorded.
