P: Share folders

In Lightroom CC I can only share albums. I like this option, but I need it also for folders. At the moment I export all photos for my clients to Dropbox. They have permission to see specific folder with the folders (albums) for events inside.

For example:

Client 1
- Event 1
- Event 2
- Event 3

Client 2
- Event 4
- Event 5

Client 3
- Event 1
- Event 4

When I have the option to share folders in Lightroom I can cancel my activity in Dropbox, because in Lightroom CC I can change something on the photos an my clients will see this change without extra export. For this it would be also necessary to have one photo in more than one album.

Being able to share a more complex system of folders and subfolders seems like a no brainer, not quite sure why this function hasn't been added yet. This kind of thing makes me need to look outside of the adobe suite for solutions that I shouldn't really have to be exploring for something so simple and logical.

Absolutely no other feature missing from Lightroom comes even remotely close to my need for this. But it's very, VERY clear that the Lightroom devs have never implemented anything on a folder lever. They've always been ignore and completely wasted potential in Lightroom Classic. When they announced this new "cloud focused" and collaborative and sharing centric new CC app, I thought to myself, "finally! They'll have no excuse not to improve their sharing options and FINALLY use the folders for something". But, no, they did absolutely nothing with them and just left them stagnant and useless as they've always been. I don't hold my breath about ever seeing this feature implemented. It would be an absolute miracle for them to do so. As is, I'm still using Lightroom Classic and its sync features with SmugMug, where I can properly share and organize massive family photo scan archives. It's ridiculously tedious, because the sync stuff in Classic ALSO has no interest in doing anything at folder levels, and only at gallery levels, but at least it can get the photos to somewhere that CAN be used for sane sharing of big archives of organized stuff.

They DO NOT CARE (just to say it politely). I think there are more than enough evidence for it. Just forget about feature requests and bug reports and accept the fact Adobe doesn't give an excrement about it's customers and improving the product according to heir needs. We, as users, have to move on !

I have nearly 30K photos that I am archiving for my family.

The sharing functionality is rich for albums and even individual pix, but folders...why can't we share folders?

This would make this Lightroom as close to perfect as one can get!

Please, pretty please, with sugar on top!

Please free me from having to set individual permissions on hundreds of albums. Please!
