P: Show Camera Exposure Value (EV) in Info Panel (Lightroom CC)

I’d like Lightroom CC to display the Exposure Value (EV) that was used when the photo was taken.

Currently, Lightroom CC shows basic EXIF data such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, but not the  EV value recorded by the camera (when available in metadata). Many cameras embed the ExposureBiasValue or ExposureProgram/ExposureValue in EXIF, but Lightroom does not surface it.

Requested feature:

  • Add EV as a field in the Info panel (both desktop and mobile).

  • If the camera recorded EV in EXIF, Lightroom should display that exact value.

  • Optionally, If the EV is not directly available, Lightroom could optionally compute EV100 from aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

Benefits:

  • Lets photographers see the actual EV at capture, which helps when comparing shots across lighting conditions.

  • Useful for learning exposure relationships, and for those who rely on EV scales when analyzing or teaching photography.

  • Brings Lightroom CC closer in metadata parity to Classic and other professional tools.
