P: View options such as Flags and Ratings in Grid View - Lightroom

It would be VERY helpful to be able to toggle on/off View Options such as Flags and Ratings – just like in  Lightroom Classic and, to a lesser extent, Lightroom Mobile. I notice, Grid view shows the number of photos in a stack (thank you), but having the Flags and Ratings would save clicking to filter.

(Unless, of course, I've missed an item in the View menu.)

Hi All,

I'm new to this community and I've recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10plus tablet mainly for use to organise and photos while travelling with the lightroom mobile app.

As a long term lightroom classic user, I've found the android app lacking a number of very important organisation features and the experience to edit photos on the tablet with a keyboard and mouse combo is very suboptimal.

Here are my complaints and wish list for adobe to consider

1. The most important missing feature is the lack of ability to see which photos are pick/crossed out or starred in the grid thumbnail view. This is a major problem when you have alot of images from a shoot in a folder and want to see quickly which photos are already selected or marked for deletion or starred. Ive found bulk reviewing of photos curtently painfully difficult as you have to either filter it or go into the individual photos to see what is selected or starred, therefore not taking advantage of a big tablet screen to have the same experience as the desktoplightroomm where you could visualise everything in the grid thumbnail view. Adding on the colours to the organization tools would be no brainer too as it would consolidate the organisation with lightroom CC as well.

2. The editing pane is all categorised in submenu which is probably good for small screen phones but not helpful in a large screen tablet when you have to toggle through tabs to quickly change colours or exposure for example. However, what's more frustrating is the tiny fonts and close spacing of all the individual sliders which again makes it less precise to use especially in landscape mode and wasteful for tablet with lots of blank spaces on the screen to spare. Maybe adobe could consider allowing tablet user to adjust the font size and spacing or even the way the category of menu is being displayed as it would help immensely for a large screen device. It would be an added plus if keyboard shortcuts is introduced at least similar to the lightroom CC so tablet users with keyboard truly benefit from this.

3. I would like to see if we could choose which album on lightroom mobile to be sync to the cloud rather than syncing everything when cloud sync is on. This is relevant when handling large number of photos where you want to get rid of unselected photos first before syncing. The current workaround for me at least is to turn off cloud sync all the time until I finished my selections but thought it could be far better if user could specify which album to sync instead.

4. Finally it would be ideal if lightroom mobile will allow us to edit files on local storage on the android app without having to move it to the cloud.

I am a big fan of lightroom classic and I would like to continue expanding my usage with a tablet to organise and edit photos on the go. The implementation is currently quite good between lightroom and lightroom Cc but the learning curve is abit steep for beginners. However with the issues above addressed I think alot of android tablet lightroom users will be happy.

What do you all think?
