P: Web album 'download pix': enable checkbox-selection of individual photos in gridview

I create shared albums for a lot of events ... a school sports team is a good example (2023-10, EPS JV Volleyball ).

These albums are great ways for people to see the images -- but I get LOTS of requests for "multi-select via checkboxes" so people can pick the SUBSET of pictures they want to download.   Current view is only either
a) one at a time (pain in the rear end)

b) the ENTIRE set of images (way too many)

Please add a "checkbox select" to a corner of the images in grid view so people can choose the ones they want to download.     (you could show this on hover of any single image .. you could put an option when people click the "Download" menu at top left and offer two choices: "Select images to download" and "Download all" ... etc. etc.)
