Dodging and burning in Photoshop for the iPad needs 16 bit, 8 bit  doesn’t provide smooth gradients

I have been trying to select 8 bit as opposed to 16 bit on my iPad but this is not a feature yet.

I need this to change a photo of one of my artworks to it so I can send it off to make prints.

it would b super helpful if this was a feature on the iPad version.

I can find image size which shows the color mode (by selecting settings wheel in upper right corner) but it doesn't allow me to change it

Photoshop will open files in Grayscale or in CMYK, but you cannot change the color mode. This feature isn't yet available; you'll have to go to the desktop for that.
