Adobe Illustrator not responding every time I open it - macOS

Hey guys, 

 

So my Illustrator is not responding literally every time I try to open it, and this has been going on since the beginning of this week (it’s Saturday today). I have searched online and saw a suggestion to reset the preferences, but there is only one issue - I will embarrasingly admit that I’m still not used to the Mac settings (long time windows user before switching to mac 2 years ago) and trying to follow the steps genuinely just made me feel really lost and confused T_T

 

I’ve restarted my laptop many times, but it did nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and  now it just lets me access the home page, but when I try to make a new file, it goes back to not responding. I’ve sent a lot of crash reports to adobe and apple whenever I have to force quit the application.

 

My mac is a Mac M3 Pro 18 GB. 

If I could get a response asap, that would be very very appreciated as I need it for uni rn.

I’m sorry for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, would you mind trying the suggestions shared in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/fix-crash-on-launch-issues.html) and checking if it helps?


Also, try running Illustrator after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (macOS) and share your observations.
