Google Veo/Vdeo may reject AI-generated images if they trigger safety filters for copyrights, faces, or text. Try slightly altering the image, removing text, or adjusting the prompt to bypass the restriction.

I'm generating a video with Google Veo 3.1/3.1 Fast. After clicking Generate, I get: "The reference image doesn't meet our User Guidelines." However, the image was generated by Nano Banana Pro. Why is it being rejected?

Hi @NishantV TrustYoke, thanks for reaching out!

If the image was generated successfully but is being rejected during video generation, it's likely that the image is triggering a validation or safety check at the video generation stage. Different AI models and services can apply different content and policy checks, so an image that is accepted by one tool may not necessarily be accepted by another.

Without seeing the image, it's difficult to determine the exact cause. Could you share the image you're using, the prompt, and any additional details about the workflow? A screenshot of the error message would also be helpful.

Once we have more information, we can take a closer look and better understand what's causing the rejection.

Looking forward to your response.

 Best!
