Fireworks

I've downloaded Adobe Fireworks CS6 from adobe.com --> products --> other downloads to my brand new Macbook Pro 15" laptop and registered the product using my license key.However, every time I try to open a file the program crashes. How can I mitigate this issue?

Could anyone send me the link on how to buy Firework CS6 ??Thanks in advance

I've been having an intermittent problem with Fireworks that is driving me crazy...If I use the PEN tool around an area of an image so I can cut it out.  I click "convert path to marque".Next, I click CTRL-C to cut the part I want out (which works 8 out of 10 times).  There are times it when the CUT does not work and I am not able to extract the part of the image I've selected.Any ideas?Thanks all!

I am having a serious problem, AVAST started to accuse viruses on my site related to "VBS malware-gen" this is a false positive because it occurs because the fireworks image editing program is including a malformed code before xmpmeta / exif so I would like to know how to remove this from the images and disable so that Adobe programs do not add this to the code:NOTE: The same does not occur in PNG images only JPGAn example follows:ŸØÿà? This question has been asked before, but I have not found an answer.When I try to save a Fireworks file as png to a network drive an internal error occurs.I can save other file types to the network and I can save png to the desktop, but not png to network.File size seems irrelevant.Any idea what the problem is?I use Fireworks CS6 for Windows.

Does anyone else feel that Adobe is missing a huge marketing opportunity by discontinuing Fireworks? I use it for quick editing of screenshots and other graphics that Photoshop is totally overkill on.

So i made a animated gif with a transparent background and i want to convert it into a swf. I used Fireworks to do this but the result is that all the frames stays as it cycles through them all in a loop. I see the previous frame in the background of the current frame and then it then countinues like that for all the other frames intill its all just a huge mess im looking at. i want to know how to convert my gif to swf without this happening. My gif file does not have this problem, i made it in photoshop and i know about how to set each frame to dispose

If you put an image into a file and choose it it will show you the dimensions in the corner.  Occasionally when I resize this object by dragging it, the numbers will change.  Occasionally they do not update.  Why does this only happen occasionally?  Is there a selection anywhere that will modify it so it shows it every time?  Like if you accidentally make it too big and need to resize it again, the size could not appear while you carry it.  Is this something that only features for images and not shapes?

I Have recently upgraded my Hardware and OS. The old versions of Fireworks and Dreamweaver (CS4) have become outdated.So I upgraded to CS6 Fireworks and Dreamweaver (I must say at great expense).Fireworks will now not export files to HTML and Images. Let me add The HTML seems to be there but no images are being generate4d (Like they used to in the earlier versions).What am I doing wrong Hard to answer without knowing what I am doing but a dialogue would help me open my eys.CheetrsTony Silver

Buenas tardes desde hace ya varios años he trabajado con fireworks para optimizar imágenes, crear imágenes interactivas, gift, retoque entre otras opciones enfocadas a la web. Ahora que acabo de actualizar mi suscripción veo que ya no está y que al intentar abrir mis archivos con photoshop o illustrator no me conserva las características de los archivos. Si su interés era no actualizarlo o dejar su la actualización se debió adecuar alguno de sus programas para que cumpliera el mismo fin.

Whenever I try to open the adobe fireworks trial it closes itself. My trial is running out and I have not used it yet.

I have CS6 version of Fireworks. I used to have Creative Cloud but had to cancel (Laid off). Fireworks was not updated or upgraded to CC. It was an earlier program which I kept without an ugrade to Cloud. Now I can't open Fireworks CS6 even though it was never part of my CC package. I had already purchased as a stand alone way before Creative Cloud. Now, of course it's like the money I paid fpor it is down the drain. What can I do to get it back for use?

for an online class i need cs6 fireworks. i got an abo for creative cloud, where i was told to look in the app search options for former versions of the products, unfortunately there is not this search options. can you tell me where to look for cs6 fireworks, thank you!

Have had Fireworks CS3 installed on secondary HDD and it's worked great for the past few years on a Windows 7 machine.  It had previously been installed on my Windows XP box.  On the Windows 7 machine I ran out of space on my main SSD (C-drive) so replaced this with a larger one ghosting the OS etc over.  This worked perfectly for everything except Fireworks which isn't even installed on that drive.  If I reboot with the old SSD Fireworks runs fine.  There is no error message so it isn't apparent what the issue might be other than the blue rotating progress ring which suggests it's caught in some loop.  I was going to try reinstalling and then perhaps de-registering and re-registering but thought I'd ask for confirmation first.Any ideas?

I cannot seem to select or deselect objects in fireworks by clicking on them. I have to click and drag in order to select an object and click and drag to deselect. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or how I can fix this? Thanks.
