Lightroom Classic

As reported above, it simply will not load. I have no access to my library. 

I use both Fuji and Canon raws in lightroom classic. When attempting to import Canon raws, the preview/thumbnails in the import window show almost instantly with no issues. However, when trying to import with Fuji RAF raws, it takes several minutes to even load a few dozen previews/thumbnails.I have tried using minimal preview builds as well all the other options. I’ve set my photo cache to varying sizes from 5gb, 20gb, 50gb and 100gb. I have tried changing all the performance options and it made no change. I’ve tried using a different drive on my PC from SSD to USB. The only way I can get fast previews is by connecting my camera to the PC and importing directly to LR Classic from there.Are there any solutions to this or is it just LRC handling Fuji RAWs poorly?

I cannot import photos into LRC! received 'could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable” Regular LR works fine. How do I fix this? Not using a mac.

Lightroom Classic is very flaky and it would be good to embark on a drive to make the software more robust rather than adding new marginal features.

On one of my cameras, because it only has one memory card slot, I shoot both Raw and jpeg onto the same memory card. When importing the files into Lightroom I want to only import the Raw files, and not import the jpegs. Currently, in order to do this, I must manually de-select each jpeg from the import. This is extremely tedious and I would like a way to de-select all the jpegs at once to prevent them from being imported. Thank you!

The latest screenshots from “Lightroom Queen” talk about Generative Expand in Lightroom Classic and new “Flatten AI Edits” options in LRC.https://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-2026-08/I’m not seeing any of this in the 15.5 release. Maybe this information was not intended for public release? It is causing confusion among Lightroom Classic users.

Wenn ich Bilder über eine Exportvorlage mit der Option "Ordner später wählen ..." exportiere, springt LRC immer das Verzeichnis, in dem ich zuletzt - auch lange zurückliegend - nach einem fehlenden Bild gesucht habe. Das ist sinnlos.Besser wäre es, in das Verzeichnis des zu exportierenden Bildes zu springen, um von dort die Navigation zu beginnen.

I have no moire swirl in my fabrics in Photoshop but as soon as I save or export it, it appears in the saved copy. Is this a sizing issue? I have used the moire slider, because there is no moire in my preview, I don't see a difference and still moire in my saved copy. 

I've owned an R5 not long after it released and since then I've had color profile issues with lightroom classic and my CR3 files.  I've had the common issue of RAW files looking washed out using the Adobe Standard color profile so I had ended up switching to Fidelity a few years ago which helped improve the images but they still never looked quite right and I just dealt with it being that way.  More recently I tried experimenting with the newer Camera matching profiles and I didn't like the way they looked either.   Recently I started looking at my older images when I was using a 6D and I couldn't believe how great the colors and contrast looked in my photos.  So as a test I setup both cameras and tested the 6D using the Adobe Standard profile (where it looked great with wonderful contrast, colors, and skin tones.) and the R5 using every profile available profile and none of them looked as nice as the 6D with the default Adobe Standard profile.  I cou

Ok, so this is a small issue but it annoys me; Using the remove tool, I remove something and press “Enter” on my keyboard. The tool deselects and I can move on to the next photo in the queue. When I remove something with the Generative AI Removal tool, I remove something and press “Enter” on my keyboard...but nothing happens UNTIL I click the cursor in the empty border area surrounding a photo. Then, and only then, the removal tool becomes deselected after pressing “Enter”. This is especially aggravating when working on horizontally oriented photos where empty border area is extremely limited in size. I hope that was clear. Let me know if not, and I’ll do my best to explain more thoroughly.

Culling thousands of images is very time consuming in wildlife photography.  I am requesting three tools to easier determine sharpness. 1) this one is obvious, show the focus point in Adobe Lightroom. Often I want to prioritize a small section of the image such as a bird’s eye or face, if the focus point is not there, it is easy to reject.  2) Lightroom could easily train an AI model to check edge complexity within a specified area and tell me which is the sharpest between two or more images. Ideally, I could specify a different area for each image, but I could just crop them if need be. 3) I could follow up with an adjustable edge detection tool for two images, side by side, so I can see which has the strongest edges. As an aside, I have vitrious separation causing annoying floaters, making it very difficult for me to compere details in two images, but I can assure you that every wildlife photographer would love this. Hello. I select a group of photos I've scanned - go to: Metadata / Edit capture time - I change the date ('Adjust to a specific date and time' is chosen under 'Type of adjustment') click change, but only some change to that new date. I think the ones that aren't changing are from a previous scan. I'm sure I haven't had this problem before. 

Double-clicking the labels Feather and Edge in the masking panel doesn’t reset those sliders to their default values. But you can reset every other slider in Develop by double-clicking their labels. Clearly an oversight by the developer rather than a deliberate design decision (bug not feature). To reproduce in LR 15.5.1 / Mac OS 26.6.2: 1. Create a Subject mask. 2. Slide Feather to 23 and Edge to 30. 3. Double-click the labels Feather and Edge and observe that nothing happens. See the attached screen recording.

Whenever I try to use Generative AI to erase an object, I only get an error message with “Try later”, it seems the app can’t reach the Adobe servers. As it has been days, I wonder if Adobe is currently doing something about it. Anyone experiencing the same situation?

Since yesterday, I have been experiencing immense problems with the synchronization mechanism in Lightroom Classic. I created a collection containing 52 photos and marked it as synced.After a while, I clicked on the synchronization history and saw that 192 images were being synchronized and this number was not changing. I then checked the "Sync Activity" section via the gear icon, and nothing was displayed there. After waiting for some time, the number 192 still hadn't changed.Then, while in the sync activity window, I held down the Option Key, which reveals 3 buttons. I clicked the button for the diagnostic report and looked at the HTML log. Initially, I noticed that an old image file (which has nothing to do with the 52 new photos) appeared a total of 47 times. Since it was an old file that no longer needs to be synced, I turned off synchronization for that collection. However, this did not change the number 192.In the meantime, I generated the diagnostic file again to check it more

When I look at my screen I can see the entire image in Lightroom.  One person who is looking at the images says that she can only see part of an image, or she will say that she thinks I need more in the image—which is there, she can’t see it.  I’ve done test runs with some friends who will send me a zoom link and they do not have a problem seeing the entire issue.  Other times she tells me the image is too small. What can be the problem?       Also I know that I have gotten to a screen that shows different green lines around a template….but I woud think that I need the green line around the entire screen, is that correct?  

I’m running the latest Lightroom Classic (15.5.1) and am on a Mac mini (and a MacBook Air M4) running Golden Gate 27.2 Beta code.On both computers, Lightroom Classic crashes almost immediately upon starting an AI task. Like starting Denoise or using the the generative Remove tool.Anyone else having this issue? Hope Adobe is aware and working on a fix, assuming it’s not something else that’s causing the issues…Thanks all.
