Lightroom Classic

My lrcat-lrdata folder is corrupted, online i read to delete it and lightroom would reacreate it but it did not fix the issue. Now if I open the pictures in the develop module i see an uknown error shown but my edits are loaded as the values are shown on the slider but they are greyed out. I contacted support but they told me to remove and reimport the pictures but it’s quite useless as I would lose all my work and all the settings since they are not saved as xmp. I cannot export the xmps now and it says I/O error if i try to do so.

My problem is described in an previous,elaborate post (Lightroom Classic automatically restores all changes done on "develop" module) although I am using a Mac M5 OS 15.1.Library module does not automatically read and implement edits made and recorded in history until manual click on history thus I must navigate to Develop module and navigate to left-most panel in history, which is inevitably at the bottom, then scroll up to historyThis is time consuming, frustrating and maddening.Even if the LR tecs can’t fix this problem, which I believe is shared by many judging from the past, perhaps they could add a toggle in library that automatically updates history in the Library module. 

I am making a slideshow in LR Classic 15.1.1 and adding a text box that inserts the caption from Library > Metadata > Caption. For some reason, the caption in the slideshow has quotation marks at the beginning and end of the text. In the Metadata > Captions, there are no quotation marks. Is there a way to remove the quotation marks from the slideshow captions? Thank you!

Hello everyone,I’m having an issue with my usual workflow between Photo Mechanic and Lightroom Classic, and I’m trying to understand what’s causing it.For years my workflow has been: Select images in Photo Mechanic Add metadata (keywords, captions, etc.) in Photo Mechanic Import the images into Lightroom This has always worked correctly, and all metadata was imported into Lightroom without issues. Recently, I decided to move the entire workflow to an external SSD, including the Lightroom catalog. The photos are stored on the external SSD, I select and tag them in Photo Mechanic as usual, and then I import them into Lightroom from the same external drive.However, in this setup, the metadata added in Photo Mechanic does not appear in Lightroom after import, even though I’m following the same procedure as before.Nothing else in my workflow has changed, only the fact that I’m now working entirely from an external SSD (photos + Lightroom catalog).Is there something about working from an

I had this issue off and on for a few years.  Today is annoying and frustrating so reaching out to this community.  I called Adobe in the past and there was no solution that worked.  Sometimes dehaze works fine.  However, not today  Here is a similar question from a few years ago  Using LR Classic 15.1, Camera Raw 18.1 Have the following MacBook:     Appreciate the suggestions how to resolve the issue.  

With LR open, the top line is ‘Lightroom Catalog-2-v12-v13-v13-3-Adobe Lightroom Classic Library’.  When I go through Edit menu to catalog settings and use ‘show’, I am taken to ‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v12.lrcat-data’. There is a catalog choice in this same explorer folder ‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v13.lrcat-data’. Seems that is most recent but my ‘show’ suggests I am not using it? I am trying to move to a new computer and this has caused a problem. Can anyone explain what is happening, or should happen, what I am to do please? Thank you.

Beim Entfernen von Elementen in Lightroom Classic wird das Element nicht restlos entfernt sondern erscheint nur farblos. Besonders dann wenn das Element vor dem Himmel steht. Siehe Beispielbilder. Was ist falsch?

Hi! Kind of a noob here, so please bear with me.   Problem: Today, while working in Lightroom Classic, I noticed that a bunch of my photos had an exclamation point icon added to them. See the image below. When I hover over the icon, it says "Error writing metadata" (pretty scary) Clicking the icon opens the window below. When I click "Import Setting from Disk" my adjustments seem to be cleared away (not great, lol).   When I click "Retry Metadata Export" that seems to fix the issue. The only problem is that there are thousands of photos that display that icon.   At first, I thought the issue was isolated to photos that I had made edits on, but upon further investigation, it seems that that is not the case.   Personal Investigation I'd Done: Naturally, I googled the issue but haven't found any definitive answers. Lightroom Classic 15.11:It appears that when I clicked “update” to move from 15.1 to 15.11 somethig went wromg. All of a dden it would not launch Lightroom Classic, independantly or fromAdobe CC. The logs for the crash are in the attachments.Re-installed everything, cleared everything I can think of clearing, restarted 50 times. PS launches just fine. I have always been able to rename my photos during import but recently that has not been working properly.I name my photos by date, then custom text, then a sequence. YYYY-MM-DD_custom-sequence #000When the photos import they are renamed in a random order and not in the order I took them.For example the 15th photo I took on my camera would be renamed 001Importing without renameing works but importing while renaming has worked since I have started using lightroom so I’m not sure whats happening. I also have not seen much on this issue online

Bonjour,Je fais des photos de concert et je les "débruite" systématiquement. Je viens de constater que sur ces photos le processeur  (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700T CPU @ 2.90GHz) est occupé à 70% dés que je commence à travailler sur la photo. Quand je décoche "réduction du bruit" tout redevient normal. J'ai investigué un peu : les curseurs "haute lumière" et "ombre" déclenchent ce phénomène . Si on les remet à zéro , plus de problème. J'espère que je suis clair dans la description ...Ce problème est il connu ?  Sinon , quelqu'un peut il faire l'essai ? Merci et bonne journéeJoël j'ai oublié : widows 10 sur le PC    

How can I make a layout for collages for printing and save them (for future use) in PS or LR ?

I'm having trouble with the program synchronization between my Lightroom collections with the cloud. I had a photo that was appearing multiple times in every online collection taking place of the photos that has to be there, so I deleted the sync data and then created new sync data. Now I have the green check icon in the cloud, but it's not uploading any photos to view online. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but it still not working.

Hopefully someone can help or point me in the right direction. I got a new MacBook Pro and loaded the current version of lightroom classic. The problem is when I import photos into Lightroom (either using a card reader or directly from the camera) - the photos are NEF in Lightroom but on the hard drive they have shown up as Topaz Denoise. I deleted that to see if that would make any difference. But when I imported again - Lightroom had NEF but the hard drive had NX this time. I’m not tech so I have no idea how to fix this. I'm importing  COPY with copies going to designated spot on my hard drive. Thanks for any help as I’m really frustrated. 

LRC seems to have severe GPU memory leaks, at least v.13.3. It keeps growing till consuming 80-90% of 12GB VRAM (*), at which point all GPU-intense operations such as AI noise reduction become unberably slow, so I have to restart every 20 minutes or so. It does not contribute to a smooth workflow.Does anyone know a simpler workaround than just restarting the entire thing (that does not involve disabling GPU acceleration of course)? -----*) 80-90% is per Windows Task Manager when no op is running in LRC. Lightroom itelf says litreraly the following in System Info: "Dedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: 13884.1MB / 12107.0MB (114%)"

When I Delete photo from disk while in Develop panel, after deleting next photo is not selected and I have to take mouse and select it. When I try to use arrow keys to jump to next photo, it jumps to the end or beginning of stripe. It is annoying and slowing workflow.

LRC is not importing pictures. When I open the import window, I see the files, but the thumbnails are grey. When I press the import button nothing happens. When I stop the importing I get a message that that no videos or photos were found to import.
