Media Server (read-only)

Hi,I am currently using AMS with Apache server. I am trying to play a HDS video with multiple fragments, when I seek to a given position sometimes the server returns a SERVICE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE error in the HTTP response (503) to one of the requests. Can someone please help. I am desperately in need of some information that might help me. Tried google-ing for this issue, but nothing useful came out of it.Really appreciate the help!

I have a flash media server 4 and streaming mp4 files to my users.  We found that some mp4 files shift to the left top side of the player windows and thus cannot be played.  But such mp4 files can be played on Windows Media Player on same PC normally.I would like to know how to fix it or any setting changes can help.  Thanks.

When trying to use the latest AMI on AWS for Flash Media Server, everything seems to work right going upstream (server connects, stream goes to server), but the F4M file doesn't seem to make any client or OMFS happy.  I get the following error - "The F4M document contains errors.  Error #1009".  Is this a bug?

Hi folks,Can the additional content storage paths be added to /hls-vod <Location>?It works when I stream over the rtmp with url like "rtmp://ams/vod/mp4:path/to/file.mp4" the files located on places I added in vod Application.xml <Streams>. But I am getting 404 trying to play these over hls-vod with url like "http://ams/hls-vod/path/to/file.mp4.m3u8".Thanks in advance for clues.

We record .mp4 file from live video stream from Digital Rapids and then process it with ffmpeg.Live stream has 576x324 resolution (16:9 ratio is assumed).It is recorded and seems fine, but has SAR value 3:4, which results in DAR equal 4:3.It is taken into consideration by ffmpeg later on, and we get an oblate picture. That's a problem.We came to a conclusion that SAR is set based on formula (4:3)/(width/height), so every recorded video has DAR equals 4:3.Why is that happening? What can we do to have DAR equal to 16:9?

I'm running AMS on Win 2012R2 and the server stops serving pages randomly.  If you wait, it will usually start serving pages again, sometimes minutes later, sometimes hours.  If I restart the AMSHttpd service, the server immediately starts serving pages.  Anyone else experience this or have any thoughts?

I want to setup a live TV service for my audiences.If i want to stream 10 channels with a single computer, what kind of processor would be capable to run and encode 10 instances of Flash Media Live Encoder at a time. Thanks

Hello,I see following in httpd error.log:[core:error] [pid 10908:tid 2584] mod_f4fhttp [400]: Syntax error in /vod/adir/hereisthefile.mp4However file is served to player OK. The setup is vod service on ams 5.0.11 on win x64:<video width="600" height="480" controls>   <source src="/vod/adir/hereisthefile.mp4"></video>The adir actually is a symlink to a directory on a local (but not the same as ams webroot is on) hard drive.Tried with strace6 logging enabled, nothing relative to subject module.Thanks for your discussion time.

I have read instructions [Webcasting live video with Flash Media Live Encoder | Adobe Developer Connection ] that say to use Flash Media Server, but then I see the new version is Adobe Media Server, but I can't download it, though I have an Adobe subscription.  It says it costs $995.  Is Media Server essential to Live Stream or is there another Adobe ap?  Do I instead need to use a third party internet media server?

Hi,We have developed our application for Live Meeting (multiple participants can join at a time), we are using RTMS protocol, currently the issue we are facing is that video is showing properly in HQ on local side and without any jerks, but on the other sides, there are jerks in the video especially when the participants move a little.I have listed the video parameters below, can anybody suggest what could be the issue. Hi all!Have a AMS5 and 6 live streams (HLS). After a 2-3 days I have get a message that HDD is full. When I check this I soo that "stream" folder (ams\application\livepkgr\_definst_\streams) up to 100Gb. It this folder I see my 6 stream subfolders. Is this cache files?So I need to detele these files to continued work. What the promlem is? And what I need to do??

i want re-stream HDS live stream.I just know HDS live stream url .. (f4m ext)Can I re-stream HDS url (input stream) to HDS live stream.

get this error on a fresh install of win10 can't get either logitech 910 or 920 cam to work. cams work fine with livestream

I know that the starter edition shuts down the live stream after ten minutes but is that on the server or on the client? Does my stream keep playing and the client disconnects or does my stream to the server stop?
