how to limited Media Encoder connect the media server?I have a adobe media server3 for liniux and  hava a live IP.   I can  use the Media Encoder connenct the media server anywhere  when I use the live IP. I want to know how to limited Media Encoder connect the media server. thank you!

Hi!I have installed the development media server, played arround with some of the demos and now i'm looking for the possibilty to manage my VOD video files. But i can't find any tool, or informations delivered by the server how much video files are in the vod directory.Do i need an extra tool?Thx!

Wondering if FMS 3.5 is capable of turning multiple live streams from web cams into a single stream to go out to client machines?  Not interested in concatenating the stream, but rather overlapping them. If this is not available through FMS 3.5, are there other tools available by which this could be achieved programmatically?Thanks.

Hello,I have a installed a fresh copy of Fedora 11 64-bit on my machine. I am trying to now install my registered copy of FMS 3.0 on the box but everytime I try to, I get this error:# ./installFMS -platformWarnOnly./installFMS: ./fmsini: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directoryThinking it could be the version of my FMS, I tried installing the development version of FMS (3.5), but got the same error. I've done some research and ld-linux.so.2 is apart of glibc if I'm not mistaken. I have the following glibc rpms installed:# rpm -qa | grep glibcglibc-devel-2.10.1-2.x86_64glibc-common-2.10.1-2.x86_64glibc-headers-2.10.1-2.x86_64glibc-2.10.1-2.x86_64One thing I noticed that was fishy, was that all my *.so files are in the /lib64 directory and not the /lib directory that the installFMS is looking in. Hi everybody,I have failed in generating core.####.I have added a line "ulimit -c unlimited" in server's start function. I killed the fmsedge process by "killall -6 fmsedge". The process do be killed but no core.#### file is seen in /opt/adobe/fms finally.Could anybody here give me a hint?Thanks!

Hi I was wondering. is it possible to manipulate in any way the video streams on the server side? Like for example, to have two streams coming from two clients and mix them into one stream, so a third client (or more) can play just one stream per client instead of two?

I am a professional video editor specializing in corporate video and occassionally TV commercials. We often post "review" videos in Flash format to our website for our clients to check progress, etc. These videos are usually around 3 minutes in length and occasionally reach 20 minutes Trt. We use Adobe Production Premium CS4 which includes Flash CS4. I usually export the videos at the included preset, "Web Large Widescreen". The playback is almost instantaneous on most DSL and T1 connections. I use the "Full Screen" option button and when the videos are viewed full screen, they look amazing.Here is the issue:I have recently created a video for a client that contains text and is approx. 50 minutes in length. The video format is 4x3 and the client wants the transcoded Flash video to display at a 640x480 square pixel dimension. The video plays fine over most DSL connections. OK... I had my host install FMS onto my server for me.  I am a little lost on how to connect my .flv files to the FMS.

We are streaming a one hour F4V from streaming media server 3.5.2 and for some reason it is seeing our one hour video as being 10 hours long. We have tons of other videos and never ran into this problem in any of the other files. This is the only file that exceeds one hour. Any ideas. This occurs in the default player from the streaming server.

In the second chapter there is code for a simple video recording application. When we give the rtmp path as "rtmp://serverName/vod/mp4:AdobeBand_300K_H264.mp4" in flash application and publish the file, then the flash player is able to play the video. But, when we run the application by embedding into an html file, the video is not being streamed.Regards,Srikanth

Hi guys,we have a problem with the logfiles from the FMS 3.If someone starts an application arround 23:59 and an action is logged in the logfiles and the same application is still open at 0:01 on the next day and logs another action our complete logfiles are disordered.How can I solve this problem?Please help me.Best Tobi

Hi allI have created an xml playlist to play a live stream first, and I have a 2nd playlist item, which is an on demand video, which I want to start playing should the live stream dropout.At the moment if the livestream stops the player just tries to rebuffer it and won't move onto the 2nd playlist item. Does anyone know how I can get the playlist to start playing the on demand video?The idea is to provide some back up so if there is a problem the viewer still gets some content. Ideally I would want to loop the playlist some how so that after the second playlist item finishes the livestream is tried again.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

I'm using a modified version of the /live application to deliver multiple audio streams to a client base. So users connect to:rtmp://servername/live And specify which stream the want - stationA, stationB etc.I have a requirement to collect information on how many users are connected to which stream every X minutes.I have built a web service that the data can be sent to and can send data from within the apllication to this but I am having difficulty finding where, in the application, details of which client is connected to which streams is available.Can anyone assist?Thanks, Matt.

Hey, I am thinking about making a web site that streams HD movies and videos that I have created myself. I was wonder could you use Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 to do so I know i would have to buy a dedicated server and a fast one with a good load of bandwidth. The big question am asking is that can you base a website or content management system around the interactive server.

I try to use Flash remoting in FMS, the result in log is showing "Empty reply from server".even I use LoadVar() object or web service to connect to local application server (weblogic), it is not working .I don't know why, can someone help me!!Thanks,Jason
