Hi, I want to buy the new Mac Studio to replace my IMac Pro. Based on the reviews I’ve read so far, it seems that the M1 Max is enough for 4K grading and video editing, and that the Ultra is only worth it for heavy VFX or 3D work (which I don’t do). I’m considering the M1 Max with 32 GPU. Do you think the 64gb extra memory is worth getting? I currently have 32gb on my IMac Pro. Resolve runs perfectly fine even with complex grades but Premiere Pro has been running very slow on editing projects with mixed footage source / codecs and a couple of effects (stabilising, pre-grade/LUT, titles). Any thoughts or advice? Also, I’m not sure about the Studio Display. What alternative monitor would you recommend? I already have a Eizo calibrated monitor for my grading work. I’ve been looking at Eizo and BenQ options as main editing / GUI monitor but any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. I tried many different export settings yesterday and finally fixed the issues by doing the following: Importing the pro-res HQ export back in premiere Applying "Flicker removal" to the prores in premiere Exporting a MGPEG 2 bluray at 40mbps/s Creating a .iso file in Encore Authoring disks from .iso For some reason, the previous MPEG 2 bluray and H264 bluray exports had enormous amounts of aliasing (there was none in the pro-res) and the flicker removal option is the only thing that seems to have helped. --- Another question - I exported the bluray in PAL 25fps as the film master is in 25fps. The film is going to be screened worldwide and I have concerns about NTSC regions, especially in the US. Will they be able to play a Blu-Ray at 25fps? It seems as if some blu-ray players handle both and some don't, but can anyone advise please? If not, what is the best workflow for creating a NTSC - 24fps bluray from a 25fps master? Hi, I have been authoring a blu-ray for the master of my film and the quality is very low. There are hundreds of very detailed paintings and drawings and there are glitches and digital artefacts that appear on the blu-ray in nearly every image. I exported both H264 Blu-Ray and MPEG Blu-Ray from premiere at maximum render quality and authored in Encore. The H264 version is marginally better but it's definitely not good enough to be screened. I exported a regular H264 to compare and the quality is much better. I don't know if it's the H264 Blu-Ray codec that is causing the issue or if the problems come from Encore. Can anyone please help? This is urgent.

Hi, I have a problem with a number of art images in Premiere which glitches both when I play it on Premiere and when I export the film. What they all have in common is that they are very detailed drawings with lines. I get the glitches no matter how I export it, even prores HQ. Here is two examples: Glitch 1 - Creative COW http://f1.creativecow.net/13008/glitch-1 Glitch 2 - Creative COW I'm working on an Imac Pro with the latest version of Premiere. Can anyone else please? Hello i use VR rotate sphere to reorient my 360 footage. Everything is fine on my comp. When i rendre i've got a black line as if my source footage had a black line on the background. My footage is totally fine. After the render my footage in After effects display the black line, but not other applications or Finder. I'm on Os X Sierra on a macbook pro 2,9 GHz Intel Core i716 Go 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Radeon Pro 460 4096 Mo. I've got GPU acceleration turned on ( Open CL or metal display the same result ) Cache and media database already cleaned up. Thanks a lot! Benjamin

1.first off, to fix the line issue, switch off Hardware acceleration,use 'software' instead (in Preferences > Media), restart Premier and the lines are gone. YES! That worked! Not only the line is gone, but the colour is back to normal. Thank you so much! I tried literally every setting but that one. Can't believe Premiere help couldn't tell me how to fix it. How do you disable mac display in davinci? I used to be able to disable it in the colour management settings before but the setting isn't there anymore. Thanks!

It looks really crushed too, but no line at the bottom! It doesn't look anything like the footage. I checked, there is no LUT on the project. I just imported the footage in AEP and it looks fine there... See screenshots below Original footage: PREMIERE AEP DAVINCI

Yes, I know. I'm very confused too. I'm 100% sure that the problem only came up last year though as I checked ungraded exports of the same film from before and the footage was perfectly fine!

Hi, I've been editing a documentary on Premiere Pro for the last two years. Since about a year, I have had an issue with all the footage that was shot on Canon 5d (about half of the film). It now appears much darker, more saturated with the blacks completely crushed, and there is a black line at the bottom. This is not on the footage, it only appears in Premiere Pro. Anyone else had the same issue? I contacted customer support 4 times and they didn't help, they told me 'it will be fixed next year'. Can anyone help please? I need to output the film to grade this week. I tried exporting a Prores and exporting an XML for Resolve but the colours shows all wrong in both cases. Thanks

Hello, I use adobe premiere pro and htc vive for editing a movie in 360. I use GOPRO VR PLAYER for use the headset HTC VIVE like monitor. But when I watch in the HTC VIVE, the frame is upside down. I changed the settings of GOPRO VR PLAYER. I changed the rotate 90 to 180 but nothing... Do you have a idea ?
