After Effects 25/26 PNGIO error (5027::12) when using GeoLayers 3 – works in AE 24

Hello Adobe After Effects Team,I would like to report a reproducible issue that appears in newer versions of After Effects when using the GeoLayers 3 plugin.SummaryProjects that contain GeoLayers 3 compositions work normally in After Effects 24, but when the exact same project is opened in After Effects 25 or 26, After Effects displays PNGIO errors and the map fails to load.Error messages After Effects: AEGP Plugin PNGIO Support: PNGIO library error: bad adaptive filter value (5027::12) After Effects: AEGP Plugin PNGIO Support: PNGIO library error: IDAT: CRC error (5027::12) These errors appear when the GeoLayers map tiles are loaded.Key observation The same project file works perfectly in AE 24. Opening the project in AE 25 or AE 26 immediately triggers the PNGIO error. The issue only occurs with GeoLayers 3 content. Scroll to Zoom not working in After Effects 25.3 on macOS

In After Effects 25.3 on macOS, using mouse scroll or Option + mouse scroll no longer zooms in the composition panel. Instead, it pans the view, regardless of modifier key. This function worked fine in version 25.2. Tested on multiple Macs with clean installs and no tablet drivers.Please restore the ability to zoom with scroll in a future update.

3d camera import - supported formats

There's a simple question that seems impossible to answer (at least for me).Is there a way to know all the formats supported for importing 3D cameras into After Effects?I think that C4D, .ma files, or .jsx (via a Blender add-on) are the only ways, but I'm not completely sure. Are there any other methods?Is there a place where I can find documentation on how to import cameras using these three methods?FBX, GLB, and OBJ are supported by After Effects, but only for geometry, right?Thanks in advance! CEP plugin JSX function won't return an object

Hi,I have a CEP plugin that works great in PPRO but is having a problem in AE. I have a simple function in a jsx file to return an object. I’ve tried returning the object or even a string with JSON.stringify() but the stringify seems to fail and return nothing and the object is just a string “object object”. The same code works in PPRO. I’ve tried this on a Mac (Tahoe) and Windows 11 but they both have the same problem.All I need to do is list out all the items in the project.Has anyone else seen this problem before? I’ve tried AE 2024/25/26. Any help would be amazing as it’s very odd!

Playback/preview is pixelated

If i press spacebar and let it play, it gets blurry. Using mouse for fast preview or scrubbing on timeline, everything is fine. i’m on 100% magnification percentage. Resolution on Full. Cleared my cache. Updated to the latest After Effects 2026. But still nothing is working. Was working perfectly fine but suddenly this happened. On the picture, you’ll see its pixelated while it’s playing compared to the one that’s still (maybe need a bit of a zoom-in but trust me its very noticeable. Had this on other projects as well… Its a bit annoying.

Please find a way to compact the Puppet Pin animation tracks.It’s quite roomy to have two lines for each Pin.Puppet animations often require a lot of pins, and most of the time, only position is animated. There is currently no way to only show the position tracks of the Pins, it always comes with the ‘Puppet Pin’ header, which is useless.

Colorspace clipping using add blend modes in OCIO v25.2.2

Hi,Just upgraded to 25.2.2 and I am having a strange issue with adding layers its like it randomly clips or switches color space from one frame to the next. Only started happening after upgrading AE and NVIDIA.The screenshots are from the same project just different frames, as you will see it also affects the scopes. Only effect used is 'Fast Box Blur'Switching to 'Software Only' fixes the issue

Once in a while, I need a ‘pixel copy’ of a layer to use in an effect. CC Composite promises to do something alike, but, unfortunately, it does not work when a layer does not match the comp size.What I am looking for is a plugin that copies the exact ‘output’ of a layer, as if it were soloed - RGBA, all pixels, comp size, no transformations. Kind of like how Track Mattes work for alpha and luma. Such an effect would open a world of possibilities - almost like node based compositing.

Gradient rendering issue (Grayscale) in Lottie/Bodymovin after After Effects 2026 (v26.0) update Issue: After updating to After Effects 2026 (v26.0), all gradients are being rendered in black and white (grayscale) when exported via the Lottie (Bodymovin) extension. The same project worked perfectly in the previous version (v25.x). Details: Setup: I am using standard Shape Layer Gradient Fills (not Layer Styles). Symptoms: All gradients in the project lose their color data and appear as grayscale in the exported JSON file and Lottie players. Suspected Cause: It seems like a compatibility issue between the new Color Management system (OCIO/Color Engine) in AE 2026 and the Lottie export data structure. Tested Workarounds: Changing Project Settings (Color Working Space to 'None') or saving the project before export does not resolve the issue in v26.0. A Commander/FX Console featureIn Development

Heyyy, I was wondering if it would be possible for AE to consider introducing a Commander feature. This feature could function like a command line, allowing users to easily access tools, effects, plugins, shapes, layer styles, scripts, and essentially everything in AE. It's similar to the convenience of Cmd + C in Cinema 4D (please take a look at the attached screenshot). Currently, I'm using FX Console, which is helpful but it's got its limits. I've noticed the search tool under the Help window, which is great, but I was wondering if there could be a shortcut to streamline the process. Hover on clip properties issue between AE & PP

When I hover over a clip in Premiere, a gray box appears with the clip’s properties. If I toggle to After Effects with a keyboard shortcut without moving the mouse, the gray box remains. It doesn’t matter if I move the mouse now that I’m in AE, the box stays and shows the properties from the clip I hovered on in Premiere. I’m in Premiere 26.0.2 and After Effects 26.0, but this has been an issue for a few versions.

Keyboard shortcut remapping issue

Hi Adobe, after updated to After Effect V.26, one of my keyboard shortcut has been broken by the latest Parametric Mesh feature.I’ve customized my “Add to Render Queue” button to "Shift + D” to my workflow, but the latest Parametric Mesh uses this shortcut. I tried to remap the Parametric Mesh to “Shift + option + D” but it keeps overiding and remapping it back to “Shift + D”. I have no choice but to remap my own shortcut for the time being, much to the detriment of my own productivity.This is extremely annoying and I would appreciate a fix as soon as possible, thank you for your attention to this matter!

Select all paths on the layer

I want to select all paths on an SVG layer. If I enter this parameter path in the search, groups and other unnecessary positions are displayed. How to display only the parameter that I need? This is necessary in order to select all paths and move them to another group or to another layer. I just don't want to select each one manually, because there are a lot of them in SVG, so I would like to find a solution and quickly select them all to move them to one group or to another layer. I know there are scripts for this, but I don't like to use third-party scripts because they accumulate, and there will be a lot of them on the screen, and it will be distracting. Add ping pong option to RAM PreviewOpen for Voting

Currently RAM Preview has two playback options – either it loops, or it doesn’t.It would be great to also have the option to ping pong (play to the end of the preview, then reverse playback and return to the first frame, then play forwards as normal again, ping ponging back and forth). This is particularly useful for animation workflows, but also applicable to VFX workflows as well.

I'm sure this has been posted before on here, but for visibility and emphasis how does AE not have a relinking system like Premiere after 10+ years?? I'm working on a particular project where despite all the assets being scattered across mutliple folders on a server, AE insists as relinking one by one. Most times I don't have this issue as it finds them on it's own, but for whatever reason it's going very slow, manually relinking file by file. This is on a collected project. Regardless of the reason or situation, it wouldn't be an issue if we had a relinking system like Premiere's file manager for footage. Is there some technical reason Adobe hasn't addressed or improved such an important function on large AE projects after a decade??

Hey everyone,I’ve been messing around with some GTA San Andreas gameplay footage, and I really love that stylized, slightly gritty look the game has — the colors, the outlines, and that almost comic-book vibe in some cutscenes. I want to try recreating something similar in After Effects for a short fan animation/video.I’m curious how other After Effects users would approach this. Second line of text disappears after line break when copying from Premiere

There’s this very specific bug that has been happening to me since the later versions of After Effects 2025 and it’s still present on the latest 2026 release.I do a lot of transcriptions on Premiere, then convert those to captions, then convert those captions to graphics, and finally copy the graphics layers from Premiere to After Effects. This is a workflow that I’ve been doing for a while without any issues.These graphic layers are interpreted in After Effects as compositions with text layers inside. And this behavior is still true.But since later versions of After Effects 2025 (up to the current release of 2026), whenever there’s a line break (only on the first line of text) in this layer that comes from Premiere, the rest of the text just disappears. It’s still selectable and reappears if I remove the line break or convert the text layer from the original paragraph text to point text, but I just preferred if this wouldn’t happen in the first place.I’m on a 2021 M1 Macbook Pro. Hello there,We are experiencing rendering issues with our EXRs in After Effects 25.4.Our images appear with several horizontal black lines at regular intervals, dividing the vertical image into 14 equal horizontal segments.These lines are 1 pixel high and transparent.The rendered EXRs do not present any rendering issues in Photoshop or After Effects 25.3.2.The EXRs are high resolution (4984x3584 pixels), come from 3dsmax/Vray, and are encoded in DWAB.Given that patch note 25.4 specifies improvements to EXR processing, it is possible that this is where the problem lies.No effect are in the scene, no nothing. Only the EXR sequence.The lines are not necessarily visible at the top of the composition and do not appear on all frames. However, they always appear in the same place in the composition over time.I have, of course, tried all the usual methods to remove these lines from the rendering, but I have not been successful. first: it’s cool we can now import scg :-) I really often get logos in svg. but:the svg imports as one frame long comp in 30fps.my settings for sequenzes are 25fps. I just need the svg as a logo for a duration of 7 sec.Now I have to deep dive into the comp, change the lengh, the fps and it’s not so coolI would like to get the option to import the svg just like a jpg or any ober picture.

Nvidia Driver (both Studio and Game) 579.79 (March 10 2026) crash rendering BorisFx Sapphire WarpBubble2 effect in After Effects 2026

I’ve noticed that during rendering a complete software crash occurs of After Effects 2026 during rendering with the latest nvidia graphics rtx driver for 4070 super -579.79 for both studio and graphics driver which are the same version, updated march 10 2026 - . After restarting the software, thanks to your programmers, the problem points to boris fx’s Sapphire Effect’s WarpBubble2 plugin. I have downgraded my nvidia driver to 595.71 and have been able to render normally without any crashes or malfunctions.I wanted to report this, as other parts of the software or GPu related plug-ins might fall into this issue. After Effect Warp Stabilisator hängt fest -> Initialize . Dynamic Link Server fehler

Von jetzt auf gleich hat After Effects angefangen beim Warp Strabilisator nicht mehr zu analysieren.Darüber hinaus funktioniert der Dynamic Link Server scheinbar nicht mehr. Ich verknüpfe oft Adobe Premire Projekte mit After Effects Projekten.Jetzt geht gar nichts mehr.Adobe Premire spuckt nur noch einen Blackscreen aus. Davor kommt ab und zu noch Media Offline und Media pending obwohl die Pfade korrekt verknüpft sind. Teilweise werden zufällig Dateien offline angezeigt. Neuinstalkation/ Neustart/ Chache lösche/ CPU rendering Optionveränderungen haben keinen Unterschied gemacht. Manuelles Dynamic Link Server in Premire hinzufügen lässt das ganze System aufhängen.
