Hello! I have a PC with an Intel Core i5-3570 processor, which does not support AVX2.Adobe Support told me that After Effects 2024 is the oldest version currently available through their installation link, but this version is incompatible with my processor.I would like to know if After Effects 2023 (version 23.x) or any earlier version can run on my CPU and whether it is still officially available for download from Adobe.Is there any official way to download and use a compatible version? I would appreciate any helpThank you.

I am a student and don’t typically use Adobe software. I only have Premiere and After Effects installed on my mac, which I only open when working on assignments. I haven’t changed any of my computer settings, but today, when I tried to use them, none of the Adobe programs would open—they would load, appear on screen for about a second, and then immediately crash. They work perfectly before.After Effects displayed an error with the codes 21::3 and 25::2 while Premiere show nothing.What do these mean, and what should I do to open and use any? Thank you!!

I'm using adobe after effects on single pc but under two different windows 11 user accounts, one for work and one for personal use. There is a reason I’m doing so, not related to adobe. I found out that fonts are not disposable for both win user accounts although I'm using common creative cloud account. I guessed that it is because fonts installed via CC app are being stored in user AppData folder so AE is looking for the user specific folder which is not filled with fonts yet. The tricky part is that I can’t install these fonts for another win user because CC app says that fonts are already installed but it seems not to be aware of which user fonts were installed for. I thought I can try to copy contents of ‘livetype’ folder to a win user folder which does not have fonts, but I love to think that Adobe has more elegant way to do this. Any help appreciated.

I have AI files where both layer content and artboards are 1920x1080. But when I import them into After Effects both comps and footage come in as 192x108px documents. I have done this type of importing for years and I've never seen or heard of this. Each Illustrator file I import was previously exported from a master AI with numerous artboards. The outputted AI files that I'm importing only have 1 artboard each.

Is there a way to still obtain the AE 2024 in 2026?The oldest version I can find when I click on the three dots is version 25.0. If I click on "see more," I just get redirected to the website where the 2024 version is also not listed.Thanks

Hi,I have been going crazy looking for a solution to how to solve the 'blank frame' glitch when creating a looping composition using the loopOut() expression.I tried the current/previous solutions which involved adding a keyframe on the penultimate frame or manually setting the final keyframe value -1 frame. These worked, but I was still getting a visible animation glitch happening.My final solution, for a perfect loop with zero visible glitches or blank frames, was to open the pre-comp layer (the original composition that you're trying to loop) and for every layer that reaches the final frame, drag it beyond the end. These layers may appear to run to the very end of the comp and appear as though they reach the final frame, but manually dragging the end of the layer 'off' to the right of the comp was what was needed for that final 'missing' frame to show in the precomp loop.So, starting with a Time Wrapping comp that is showing a blank frame:1. We are developing a native SmartFX effect on macOS/Apple silicon, tested in AE 26.5x89. We need to analyze the current frame's upstream alpha at a consistent resolution while rendering Full/Half/Quarter previews. This is not a request for a historical frame or time-remapping support.The effect derives content bounds and occupied cells from alpha. Reduced input can lose a faint detail and change the occupied-cell set, which then changes the timing of other visible cells. We can reproduce that in AE with a synthetic 32×8 PNG: two opaque 4×4 corner patches and one alpha=4/255 pixel. At Quarter, the faint feature disappears while the opaque patches remain. Input dimensions or a conservative bounding rectangle alone cannot supply the missing occupancy information.Ordinary SmartFX checkout supplies the complete required extent in our text test, but PF_RenderRequest has no documented per-checkout resolution override. I need the offline installer for after effects 2021 on my windows 11 pc, in order to get plugin compatibility. As it isn't available using the creative cloud desktop app, I contacted adobe support and they said it's discontinued and they don't have the link. Does anyone have the installation link?

Hi everyone,My After Effects 2026 has been running absolutely fine up on my device until now. Every past composition I have made seems to open for around 1 minute before crashing and I’ve tried any solution I could find on the internet, however, the errors persists. Here is the problem guys while editing in after effects, AE doesn'nt use my gpu at all, I have to constantly switch from mercury GPU accleration (OpenCL) to Mecury software only cause when i switch to mercury GPU accleration (OpenCL) an pop up appers that says your gpu is out of memory when its not even using 1gb og video memory and the rendering time is horriable it takes 15+ hrs to render an 17sec clip, If you know the solution please help and I use intel arc a750 gpu if you wanna know.

Do you use the built-in Convert Audio to Keyframes feature, plugins, or manual keyframing?I'm also curious how you handle music tracks from streaming services like Spotify, since the audio may not be available as a directly editable file. Is it better to use a properly licensed local audio file for this kind of project?I'd appreciate any practical tips, especially for keeping the animation smooth without spending hours adjusting every keyframe.

I've seen a ton of posts about the same problem. How is it that Adobe has ignored this critical issue for such a long time? I'm talking about the playhead. It doesn't move. I can see the preview and hear the audio, just the playhead won't move. It's not the first time this has happened to me. In fact it happens quite frequently, as soon as the projects get big enough I get this bug, although I am not sure what actually triggers it. After looking through the many posts about this very issue on this forum, I've yet to find a solution. If anyone knows a fix or a workaround please let me know. And ADOBE FIX THIS BUG PLEASE, it's embarrasing how we've had the same bug  since  2018. I'm trying to recreate this video with transparent fire and an image with letters in the background that looks like where the fire appears. How can I do that? 

Hello there, so, I downloaded after effects hoping to make tiktok edits like everyone does these days, but when I did when I pushed preview on the timeline it made my ram go up to 99% full and when I dragged a few effects in it said 99% full with 1 GB available and even 600 MB available my fellow editors say theirs is normal it was on a raw clip as well playing it back. I did edit the usage but even when I dragged in a effect it went straight back up.  I have 32 GBs of ddr5 ram two 16 gb sticks t-force brand 6000MTz  I tried everything but it keeps going all the way up to 99% I'm afraid of adding more effects that it would go to 100% Thank you for your time. 

Okie dokie artichokie here we go, I have been using after effects 2024 and photoshop 2026 in the same workspace for 2 months without any issues, today my after effects started to crash every time on the splash art screen, no warning, or error code, anything. when I uninstalled photoshop 2026 , restarted my computer, and launched after effects, it launched just fine, with no crash or anything. when i reuninstalled photoshop, the same problem came back. i tried removing my plugins (didnt work), clearing cache (didnt work), reinstalling after effects 2024 and photoshop 2026 (didnt work), reset preferences and started in safe mode (didnt work), updating drivers (didnt work), and running as administrator and changing the launch settings to high performance (didnt work). Its strange because I've used these two in my workspace and everything worked fine until today, its really frustrating me right now and I've done literally everything and I need to use photoshop, (especially 2026 for the ai

I’ve applied various Animation presets from the Transition - Movement folder, and they all want to start in the upper left corner. Because I’m using more than one, I’d like to have them come from the left, then the middle and then the right side for each of the items. But nothing I adjust in the effets panel seems to have any effect on the start point. The anchor and position are controlled by expressions so I can’t simply keyframe the anchor point. Adjusting the layer’s position and Anchor point only affect the ending location, even if I use keyframes.(Attempted to add screenshots)

When making a lyric type of edit and using 3d w null layers, this happens, it like cuts out what im doing and i dont know whats causing it. if anyone could help, id be really greatful

I have had this problem since about 2024, i updated my after effects from version 23.6.2 to 24 and ever since then, all my previews have been in slow motion. I fixed the problem by just reverting back to the previous version and sticking to it. However i have had to uninstall it and now can’t get that version to work again, so ive been forced to update to the most recent version, hoping it would be solved by now, but alas it has not.I’m really hoping its a silly setting i have turned on by accident, but im super stumped.Ive included a video, this comp is only 5 seconds long, i dragged in an mp3 and played it through both ae and media player so you can hear what it’s supposed to sound like. also included screenshots of preferences that may be relevant? specsAMD Ryzen 9 5950XAMD B550DDR4 128GB (32X4)AMD Radeon RX 8600X Any help super appreciated, its incredibly hard to edit like this :(

When you run After Effects, OS_ViewContainer appears together. What is OS_ViewContainer?

while mouse over the Opacity slot and drag the value, it’s lagging. Compared to the other slider in this FX, for eG the Direction or Softness, it’s stuttering Ae 2026.5Win11 no big deal so far...

For some Reason AE is playing (cached) preview faster than real time, which is very confusing? I would like to stop that behavior.  Anyone?
