Hello, I would like to install the 2022 version of After Effects but I can't find it between the older version option. I can only install the 2024 and 2023 versions in the Creative Cloud app. Can you please help me install the 2022 version? Is this still possible? What are my other options if you can't install it using CC apps? Thanks for the help.

I need it for creating AET templates.

it's no longer available.

you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

Hi saso.goricar,

If you see a chat with a live agent, and kindly ask them for the last compatible version of the app you need for your current hardware, they will be able to share a link to a working installer.  I was just able to get Pr, Ae, Aud, and Ch for my current system, which is out of date with the latest software.

However you cannot download "certain legacy app installers' with your subscription, which makes no sense.

It's truly a diservice to paying customers that can no longer download apps from Adobe, that will work with their current hardware, and are denied these apps for...."some unknown reason".  And what is really odd, you can download other legacy versions of apps, just not the key ones that you may need, like Ae, Pr, or Audition.  It's not right and paying customers should have these options restored, making apps available within the last 5 or so years available, or a date range that is reasonable.  I had to chase down an live agent who kindly gave me links to these legacy apps, but no clear explanation as to why some are available, and some are not.  Adobe needs to do better for the money that they ask from their clients.  Best to you.  ~ MJ
