Confirmed it's happening with all Marquee tools, not just rectangle. It's not making the selection at all (can test it with Q for quick mask). That tells me it's not to do with the video drivers, even still, have disabled them and rolled back and turned off GPU acceleration and it's still happening.

Yep, have done that, uninstalled, reinstalled PS as well. No dice.

Hi All, wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Adobe Support seems to have no idea or wants to take over my entire PC to look at it. It's pretty simple - the marquee tool (M) is often (probably 80-90% of the time) just in the last couple of days, not working at all. You can select a rectangle and release the mouse button and the selection disappears. I've got the latest version of Photoshop CC 2017 and Windows 10 Home and have not seen this before. Have no plugins. It's probably my most used tool as a web designer so this is rendering the app unusable for me. Any ideas? Video here: Photoshop Selection Bug - YouTube
