Hi Brenda- I am really not an expert in hard drive recovery and don't feel comfortable giving too much advice where the hardware is involved. I am an expert in recovering Lightroom catalogs (specifically, the .lrcat file) when the corruption is in certain areas. If you are in a situation where you would like me to try and repair the .lrcat file then I can certainly give it a shot for you. Having said that, here are a few points that might help: I would personally be very hesitant to trust hard drives that are continuing to have corruption issues. If there are physical issues with the disks you are using the corruption problems may keep coming back up. Previews can always be re-generated (although it may take some time.) I wouldn't worry at all about "recovering" previews as you can just re-generated them as needed. If you've saved XMP metadata to the files, then if you re-import those files into Lightroom the data in that XMP should be respected. Note, however, that not all Lightroom data is in the XMP data. For example, pick data and collection information is only stored in the Lightroom catalog. I'm sorry I can't help more. Like I said- if you provide the .lrcat file I can try to recover that file, but your most recent backup may be as good. -paul
