Dell XPS 15 goes to sleep whenever processing

Hi there, I've been having a problem where my Dell XPS15 9570 would go to sleep whenever the system starts to exert itself, both during playback and/or exporting. If it's a low resolution video it's usually alright, but when it goes onto 4K footage and/or HD with a lot of effects it'll just go to sleep on its own.

 

Anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix this problem?

OK... that says laptop... which, as far as I know, means NO FAN for cooling

 

IF your laptop has cooling vents in the bottom, find and buy a laptop cooling platform... a platform with a fan or fans inside it to blow cool air into the laptop

If that is a laptop (not everyone knows model numbers, so supplying more information is good) do you have the laptop connected to the AC power adapter?

 

I don't have a saved link about a computer going to sleep, only this about a more severe stop

ADDED... if that is a laptop, you need to monitor the internal temperature, since a high temp can cause a shutdown

It's an XPS15 9570 (32GB ram, 8750H processor, 1TB Samsung evo 970 SSD, Nvidia 1050TI-MaxQ). 

 

Thanks a lot! This seem to correlate with the problem I have, given that the problem doesn't occur when the CPU/GPU runs on a lower capacity when only on battery power.

 

Any idea how to work around this?
