Workflow details: I work with multi-camera 4k LOG .MOV footage (Lumix S5II cameras). If I need to de-noise high ISO footage, I render my FHD composition in Pro-Res format first, then clean up the noise from that lower resolution source, outputting MP4 for my clients.I've browsed Google and Youtube but found so many conflicting reviews, speaking in terminology that means nothing to me. I'm not a hardware expert.

I want to buy a new computer. I use Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effect and Premier Pro. I am an intermediate user of these apps. What are requirement for video hardware.

Hi, I am looking to buy a Macbook Pro 14 inch M4 Max.I only do video editing on Premiere Pro and edit 1080p, 4k, and 8k video from a Canon R5 and Sony FX30. Do I really need to get the M4 Max? Will the M4 Pro do? Should I get 128gb of memory or is 36gb of unified memory enough. I have the budget to get the highest spec macbook pro, but I have some friends telling me I can do the same with the base model M4 pro chip Macbook Pro.  Your knowledge on this would help me to decide which one to get. I'm also look for best export times. Thank you

My editing workstation has slowed to a crawl with the latest release(s) which has triggered some hard thinking about how to move forward.  I just do volunteer shooting/editing so $2500 for new hardware plus my (I am guessing $800?/yr) Adobe fee, I am not sure at the ripe old age of 71 this is how I want to spend my money. I was looking for a cheap upgrade so I decided to try a MSI Refurbed gaming box from Woot.  32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4060, Ryzen 7700 processor.  It was less than 1/2 what I would pay for an HP Workstation machine.   What am I missing?   Aside for a somewhat cheesy build quality is there a downside to going with one of these "gaming machines?"

I researched the best asus motherboard for the past few days because I am planning to upgrade my PC setup soon. I went through detailed reviews on popular tech sites like Tom’s Hardware, PCMag, and TechRadar, and they are highlighting these two models as some of the best options available right now: ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ROG-Motherboard-Q-Release-Networking/dp/B0DDZNZF76?th=1ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PLUS WiFihttps://www.amazon.com/ASUS-TUF-B850-PLUS-Motherboard-DisplayPort/dp/B0DPLPLR88?th=1However, I am having a bit of trouble deciding which one would be the better choice for my needs, so I would appreciate some expert advice. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 or Intel i7 processor (depending on the motherboard), RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB DDR4/DDR5 RAM, NVMe SSD + HDD storage, and a custom cooling setup.I am mainly looking for a motherboard that offers strong performance, durability, and modern features something that works perfectly for

Hi, I already have a fully functioning setup for video editing but was thinking to buy a smaller laptop for day to day use which could possibly do minor edits on the go. A friend recommended me a laptop with i5 11th gen with integrated intel iris Xe, 8gb ram. Would this be able to run premiere pro? I'm looking for something not too expensive as I already have a desktop setup. Thank you in advance.

this was originally posted by someone else:   Hi everyone,   I'm in the process of upgrading my PC and I'm looking for advice on the best graphic card to choose for both high-performance gaming and graphic design. I've been playing around with various demanding games and also using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for my design work.   Currently, I’m torn between getting an NVIDIA RTX series card or an AMD Radeon card. Does anyone have experience with both in terms of performance and compatibility with Adobe Creative Suite? I want to make sure whatever I choose can handle intensive tasks without issues.   For reference, one of the games I'm developing for is a high-intensity, multiplayer car game similar to <link removed-kglad>.  I need a card that can handle such graphics smoothly while also being great for video rendering and graphic design work.   Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!   Thanks!

Hi everyone!I have a question. I have been dissatisfied with my RTX 3060 12GB for the past few months (I had the same experience using Premiere with the GTX 1660). I am also not happy with my NVIDIA graphics card in other scenarios. Therefore, I am considering building my next PC not only with an AMD CPU, but also with an AMD GPU. I am thinking about a setup with a Ryzen 5 7600X or Ryzen 7 7700X, 64GB of RAM and an RX 7600XT.For those of you who have experience with AMD GPUs in Premiere, could you please tell me how well they perform? I heard in an AMD presentation that there is good support for AMD GPUs in Premiere. Thanks in advance! And also for you to understand, I use After Effects compositions in my projects and various plug-ins for Premiere, so keep that in mind.

Hey there. I currently use After Effects to edit videos. Most of the clips are 4k but I downscale them to 1080p but stilll without any effects just the clip imported to a 1080p composition and resolution set to 1/4 i get very laggy previews. I have to encode those to prores and then i can preview smoothly at 1/4 resolution but 1-2 effects make it laggy again. Im currently using a igpu. I want to know will a external gpu be enough to solve this problem or I need a entire new system for fixing this.My specs:CPU: Intel Core i3 10100MOBO: MSi B560M Pro-EGPU: Intel UHD630RAM: Corsair 2x8GBSSD: Crucial P3 Plus 1tb

Hi Guys, I want to add a Nvidia 3060 12gb version to my system to get better timeline performance and when twiddling with effects and color grading. Final render speeds for me take a back seat. I can wait. What i want is more responsiveness on the UI for color grading. For example when i change workspaces theres a 7 to 8 secs pause the the screens white out. I want to over come these. My current rig is...*Processor -Ryzen 7 -5700G (8 Cores+16 Threads) @ Base Clock 3.8 Ghz And Max Boost Clock 4.6 Ghz (Architecture -Zen 3). Hello, everyone!I'm starting a new project that requires editing directly from disk, and I'm interested in keeping all the material and the project in the same place. The material weighs approximately 5TB, so I would like to ask for recommendations for external hard drives that meet the following requirements: -Large capacity (8TB or more). -Good read/write speeds. -Reasonable price. I know that SSDs offer the best performance for editing, but I understand that external SSDs with capacities greater than 4 TB are scarce or very expensive. What options would you recommend?

Nvidia has announced, or will soon announce, that all remaining pre-Turing (this means all pre-RTX-generation) GeForce and Quadro GPUs will become depreciated to legacy driver support status after the release of the forthcoming version 580 branch of the Nvidia graphics drivers. All remaining GeForce 700-series (GTX 745, GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti), GeForce 800M and Quadro K-series (K620, K1200 and K2200) GPUs, plus all GeForce 900- and 10-series, GeForce MX 110, MX 130, MX 150, MX 230, MX 250, MX 330 and MX 350, the Titan X, Titan X (Pascal), Titan Xp and Titan V, and the Quadro M-, P- and V-series GPUS–all based on the Maxwell, Pascal or Volta architecture– will be affected. The GeForce 16-series GPUs and the professional T-series GPUs will not be affected as those two series are derived from the RTX 20-series/Quadro RTX series (Turing architecture) GPU line, and will therefore continue to be supported in the drivers above the 580 branch for the foreseeable future. As a result of thi

Hello,I just bought a second hand GPU intel arc B580 as an upgrade to my GTX 1060 card to help me with 4K video editing of 10 bit 422 h265 footage that my camera shoots. The card passed all the standard stress tests in furmark and OCCT just fine. But when I try to edit any 4K footage or project that I worked on in the past, there are artifacts throughout my playback window as seen on the video at 0:20 and further.Any idea what might causing that? The GPU is also very underwhelming in terms of performance, but I have no comparison since till now all the "heavy lifting" was done by my CPU, and it was handling the playback smoothly. Usually it gets to a point where in device manager it shows GPU stuck at "copy 100%" and premiere crashes after a while of this jittery artifacty playback. My other components:CPU: R9 5950xRAM: 128 GB @ 3600 MHzAsus ROG Strix B550 - APSU: Corsair RM1000x SHIFTVideo showing the artifacts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQqgQCZvluUAny advice appreciated.

I post regularly on the After Effects forums where I do my best to help others.  And I frequently see requests on reddit and youtube for advice about picking between two computers. Having asked around and looking at this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/premiere-pro/kb/hardware-recommendations.html I began to think about how I've bought computers in the past and generally any big purchase I make involves making a spreadsheet.    I've put together a "score card" for buying a PC for either PP or AE, but I'd like some feedback, if anyone is willing.  I'm not sure this would be helpful to someone buying an high-end machine, I'm thinking more about people starting out, deciding where to spend any extra cash.  For example, "Is deal B (that costs £300 more than deal A), worth it for a second hard drive?"   https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1orl6o4UpLKgu2x7hmOIcb5vKNaGn8ezYmlm-WyZjTM0/edit?usp=sharing   This is a work-in-progress, so I'd love some feedba

Hi all,I'm planning to use a GeForce GTX 1650 in my new HL15 (2.0) case build. Just wanted to confirm if anyone here has run it in this chassis and if there were any clearance or airflow issues? Also curious if anyone has tried running it with the front fan removed to allow extra GPU length - does the 1650 benefit much from that in this case? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I'm planning to buy the Gunnir Intel Arc A380 Photon 6G OC (6GB GDDR6) mainly for video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Here’s my current PC configuration:Processor: Intel i3-10100RAM: 16GBMotherboard: Gigabyte B560M Gaming HDI’ve heard that Intel ARC GPUs had some driver issues in the past. Just wanted to ask, have those been resolved in recent updates? Does the A380 now work reliably with Adobe software?Would appreciate any insights before I make the purchase. Thanks in advance!

Merci beaucoup !

Hi,fessing up that I am clueless when it comes to computers and what is needed for video editing (the last time i edited anything was 24 odd years ago on a i mac).  I have been asked by some clients to make some tuitional videos and I haven't a clue what specs I need when it comes to a PC.  My current PC is about 10 years old and wont handle Premier Pro (which I have as part of my Adobe Package).I have been to my local independent shop who quoted £2500 to build me one (my financier and wife) says for that price it had better be able to travel in space and time.I then checked with my local PCworld Curries and have these specs.  And I have absolutley no idea as to whether they are good enough to edit video or not.  My video will be either shot on a Canon R7 and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 both using 4K Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My budget is approx £1000 Specs: - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060- 8 GB GDDR6RAM- 16 GB DDR4 (3600 MHz)- 128 GB maximum ins

I have over 100 episodes of 20-minute 1080p .mxf footage and plan to use a media intelligence search tool. My current 2017 iMac (i5, 32GB RAM) struggles even with just 30 short MP4 clips (30 seconds to 2 minutes) when using the tool — it constantly shows a “memory running out” warning. What specs would you recommend for smooth, AI-assisted processing of large .mxf files? I’m considering a MacBook Pro M4 Max with 128GB of RAM, but I’m not sure if that’s sufficient.

I tried downloading Adobe InDesign CC app on my MacBook Air and found out it's too old to run InDesign. My laptop is on MacOS Big Sur and can't be updated to a later operating system anymore. (Doesn't really have enough memory anyway and it's an old computer). I'm on a very tight budget but need to be able to run InDesign mostly for documents, layouts, etc. Will a refurbished 2019 MacBook Pro work? It doesn't have the latest M series core processors, but does have retina display, 16GB memory, 512GB storage, 4GB video card and i9 processor.  I don't want something that won't work in a year, but I'm happy if I can get 3 years of good use out of a refurbished model. At that point I may be able to afford a new one. Thanks for your help.

Hello, my name is Usman. I am a video editor and an SEO specialist. I mainly work on motion graphic projects in video editing, and as many of you may know, these projects can put a significant load on any system. Currently, I am working with an HP Probook 435, but I’ve realized it’s no longer capable of handling both my video editing and blogging tasks efficiently. Given my workload, it’s crucial for me to upgrade to a high-end system. Therefore, I’m reaching out to ask for your suggestions on a powerful system that can easily handle my editing and blogging projects. Ideally, I’m looking for a system with at least 4 cores or more, and one that can manage even my largest video projects effortlessly. I’m eager to hear everyone's recommendations and plan to make a purchase as soon as possible. So, if you have any suggestions, please share them without hesitation. Thank you!

Hi,  Would lkie to connect Premiere to Panasonic Moniter thru SDI, this is what I had found, need solution, thanks "Based on the search results, the Grass Valley STORM 3G is not designed for direct compatibility with Adobe Premiere Pro.EDIUS-Centric Design: The STORM 3G is a hardware device specifically built to enhance the video editing workflow within the EDIUS software. It provides features like 3G-SDI I/O and HDMI output for professional video editing and monitoring in conjunction with EDIUS.Third-party support in Premiere Pro: While Adobe Premiere Pro is open to integrating with third-party I/O hardware like those from Blackmagic Design, Matrox, and AJA, the Storm 3G isn't mentioned among these.GV STRATUS for Premiere Pro: Grass Valley does have solutions to integrate with Premiere Pro, such as the GV STRATUS extension plug-in, but this is a separate product from the STORM 3G and designed for different workflows.3D editing in EDIUS: The Storm 3G supports 3D editing

Hello everyone,I have been trying to piece together a new setup for 3D modeling and rendering but I am  way out of my depth.
