Hi guys,i would like to buy a new MacBook (available in 1,2 GHz with m3, 1,3 GHz with i5, or 1,4 GHz with i7). BUT, are the Adobe Suite programs running on those kinds of MacBook????I do the main work on my iMac at home. But for little corrections on travel i would like to have a MacBook with me.Please let me know.Thank you

Looking for advice on hard drive configuration for a 2016 15" Macbook Pro Touchbar using a Blackmagic Design hard drive bay. Daily livestream podcast media work will consist of photoshop, after effects and final cut pro. The video of the livestream will be managed and switched by a Roland VR4HD so the mac won't be doing any of the encoding.I have (4) available drive bays that are Thunderbolt 2 (i'll have to get a usb-c to thunderbolt adapter to connect to this bay).I've read the generic guidelines post on drives .. Hello Premiere CC user. I have a question about the new iMacPro. For years, I have been working with the MacPro (Maximum Performance), but at the latest when I work with Red Giant or Sapphire PlugIns, the calculator gets very slow. Do you have a tip for me, which configuration makes the most sense especially for the Premiere CC use? For 4 months I mostly work with footage from the RED 8K. System Specs:Intel i7-2600k 3.4 GHzNvidia GTX 760 2GB SLI (2 cards both 2GB)16 GB RamI am exporting a 9 min 46 sec project, footage originally 4k, in 1080p H.264, 24 fps, VBR Pass 1, through adobe media encoder. Originally, thinking that it would be faster to do so, I set my renderer to CUDA, therefore using my GPUs  to "accelerate" the rendering process. It was predicted to take about 6 hours to render. I stopped it and switched to Software Only and the render time is so much shorter. Knowing this, I am wondering if SLIs are compatible with CUDA rendering in premiere and/or adobe media encoder. Or are my GPUs bottle-necking the rendering process? Or both? [Moderator note: moved to best forum]

I’m finishing my bachelor in animation this coming term, and have only been using the computers available at our uni’s media department up to now. When it comes to video related work I am mostly interested in working on short films and music videos. Maybe some freelance work in the future. I work with stop motion and 2d animation. The programs I use are TV Paint for 2d animation, and After effects for animation and post production and of course premiere. I don't really work on Maya right now, but might upgrade the computer to do so in the future. I also want to be able to work on live action footage. Keep in mind that I’m not the biggest special effects nerd when it comes to live action though. I like to play around with different mediums and platforms, and play around visually. After effects and premiere will be both used for personal artistic projects and probably some small freelance work from time to time. My mid-2014 Macbook Pro (2.6GHz, i5) broke on me yesterday. I took it to a Mac specialist and he explained that because I use CC daily for work (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Muse, After Effects) my i5 graphics card has come to the end (or something like that). I took extremely good care of my Macbook to ensure it was never updated above what it could handle, had space, etc, so I was shocked it could just stop working over-night. I'm a freelance designer, but I'm freshly graduated and I have very little money as it is. How is it that I have low disk usage, low cpu usage, and low ram usage but its rendering my work area incredibly slow? I know this has been asked a million times but I have gone though tons of posts and haven't found the solution. Any ideas?[title edited by mod for clarity]

I know that Ryzen is the way to go for a more modern cpu, but is anyone still rocking an fx8350 or higher fx series in their computer?  If so would an upgrade from the GTX 970 to the 1070 really make that much of a difference when rendering given the 1070 has more cuda cores?

nVidia has just announced the new Titan V.   "v" is the Volta chip which is the next step beyond the current Pascal.  It has 5120 CUDA cores!  The Titan V cards also include 12GB of 1.7 Gb/s HMB2 memory that operates on a 3,072-bit memory bus and provides 653 GB/s of memory bandwidth.  These amazing specs will cost you a mere $3000 if you can find one.  It is targeted at Scientists and Researchers and of course at that price not consumers.

Just build a new system with a Coffee Lake i8600k CPU and Corsair LPX 16GB 3200MHz RAM. Integrated graphics of the 8600k and my old Sapphire R7 250 1GB D5 Ultimate are not powerful enough to playback my Premiere Pro 4k timeline when an adjustment layer with color correction is added. I am considering buying a for example GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5 card but can not find any reviews focused on timeline playback. I do not care much when exporting the final movie is done in 30 instead of 20 minutes, but playback my timeline with 4k movies and adjustment layers should not be a problem.Are here any experiences with this sort or cards in combination with Premiere Pro with focus on playback the the timeline including any kind of adjustments?

I have specific questions regarding the right configuration I need to be able to create videos in 4K with Adobe Première.The native format from the camera is XAVC S. The camera is a Sony FDR-AX100. I need to be able to mount 3 different 4K video tracks on a smooth way. I don’t want to use proxy media because this takes to many time to convert the files. I did this till now but this is very time consuming. I want to be able to move my cursor over the timeline and to see a fluid movement of the video. I've come into possession of a Mac Pro 5,1 (6- Core Intel Xeon, 2.66Ghz, 32Gb RAM) with three 2TB HDD's that are RAID configured and a 500Gb SSD root drive.What would be the best way to set up scratch disks, media cache, project files, etc? At the moment I've sent everything to the 6TB RAID and with only the OSX on the SSD.

So I don't really know anything about computers. And not much about Adobe. But I could not work it on my laptop. So I'm going to buy a PC what the above system features.Will that be sufficient to run Adobe After Effects and other video editing software smoothly?Pardon my ignorance

I recently bought a Samsung T5 because I've seen that people have been able to speed up their render and export process, but I haven't noticed any difference when working on my projects. I have the footage and premiere pro projects in my drive, but it still doesn't show much of a difference when exporting. Is there a correct way to go about using an SSD to speed up workflow?
