when i was about 12... 13... our family got the first computer we ever owned.. i took to it better than the other folks in my family and the one thing in my life that brought me peace.. was using a trial version of adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator, and since i could never draw worth a poop like all of my other introvert goth kid friends lol... this was my outlet.  Im not even lieing when i say that you guys at adboe in 97-03 ish you guys saved my life!! i could create i could showcase the pain i was feeling i could vent frustrations in an artistic format and get advice and recognition from this same community board im posting on!!  I know its a business... but now my son is interested in video production... like his dad he has a need to express to explode out these creative impulses!! but now that im dad and can afford to buy a licensce... you charge monthly?? i would love for me and my son to tajke a journey of creativity deep into some very dark places and visualize and document that with him... but i have to pay monthly.... i cant just buy the suite anymore... nah if we make a video and then dont make one again for 6 months... im paying monthly...   This is DISGUSTING....you guys were the bastion of creative freedom... now your on QVC at 30% off for a year...  it makes me really sad

Hey Stephen,

Sorry for the let down on subscriptions. Many people actually prefer them and I'm sorry you do not. I can offer a bit of advice, if that's OK.

You can subscribe to Creative Cloud on a monthly basis. It's just more costly to do so.

As John Smith suggests, for the hobbyist or casual user, our Elements products are really quite good these days and offer a perpetual subscription. I suggest you check out the trials of those applications to see if they could satisfy your creative urges. I hope so!

Regards,
Kevin
