Ask for your rental money back. Put it towards owning a fully functioning editing program. Nothing worse than a monopoly.
We had a 100% Functional PIPELINE making high quality videos for over a Decade using your suite..Now I'm dealing with a major blow to my services because of your severe lack of testing software prior to launching.I just lost $40k on a project due to your incompetent version of the latest PREMIERE constantly crashing and for random reasons only to be assured from your TECH SUPPORT "It's not a problem.." Guess what? When you miss a deadline.. Clients Don't care - They just demand RESULTS.Hundreds of Projects I have delivered and this is the first time this has happened due to overly abundant bugs. At this point, I would rather deal with my EX wife than to OPEN a new PROJECT in PREMIERE.. or even just gamble in Vegas at a high stakes table.. The work around's from Tech Support in your India offices are pathetic and just more band-aids on top of more Band-aids..Reluctantly - I am forced to find MORE RELIABLE Editing software after being a PREM user for nearly 20+ years..that's right.
Sadly, Adobe talks professional, but delivers consumer. That’s why many in the industry stick with other accepted pro solutions. If Adobe could just grasp how much they are losing both in both revenue and goodwill and took action, they could take over the world...
Welcome to Premiere CC, the most crash-prone application since the 1980s.
After Effects doesn't work no matter what. The people working on it have no clue what they are doing, and never will.and the support on this forum only will tell you how to work around Adobe's problems then treat you like you're stupid for not knowing the program doesn't work the way you expect it to, and treat you like you're out of line for expecting the software you pay monthly for to work. There is billions of dollars to be made by whomever can just release a software suite that works.. Adobe just can't make the cut.
All CS4 and CS5 users. All of a sudden are you having activation issues even though you been using CS5 or CS4 for years. Via your Adobe account they are causing the new activation errors on your PC so you will change to the Creative Cloud rent by the month for the rest of your life version of your suite. Fortunately for all of us this is being investigated by the government.,
Mod Notes: Branched. Re: the Unofficial Troubleshooting GuideThanks for writing this Jim, it's very thorough and useful. What I'm about to say isn't aimed at you, but at Adobe.----I think it's a massive shame that this guide needs to be written. All the fixes you list are work-arounds to faults in Adobe's software. The problems aren't aren't caused by users making mistakes or not understanding things, they're down to bugs in the (expensive) Adobe product.Adobe themselves could never write this guide, because it would have to start with, "We know our software is very buggy and often crashes. We're not going to fix it, but here are some ways to minimise the pain we're causing you..."
I made this video showcasing the truth about Adobe Premiere Pro, it is ridiculous that still in 2018 Adobe fails to utilize more of the GPU performance to offload from the CPU. In Davinci Resolve I can have 2 Titan X running in SLI and it will crush everything I throw at it. Heck even with just 1 Titan X playback is ridiculously smooth. Why can't we get that exact same performance? However, if you're using a Mac, it's not all that bad. Now before you say oh your PC is configured wrong or I'm doing something wrong, watch the video, I sent this to Puget Systems, who were the ones that built my PC, they have thousands of hours of experience building top of the line PC's EXCLUSIVELY for Adobe Premiere, just visit their website and see the hours of data they have.So when they tell me they ran tests on the files I sent them and the iMac Pro still beat their top spec system, they've confirmed it's bad optimization on software. Yesterday I experienced a great weight being lifted from my shoulders. After, quite literally, years of suffering beneath the yoke of a certain NLE with which all of you are familiar, I took a giant step for mankind. Here it is: I fired up that relatively new competing program made by dark magicians.Stay with me.First, I read a very short "get started" article. Then I opened the new program, imported a bunch of 4k (repeat, 4k) and commenced to recreate part of my current edit in "the other program".It could not have been easier. I was truly shocked. My deepest shock was that, during my 8 hour session, there was only one crash. Otherwise, I was able to run 4k with zero hiccups and no problems whatever. I was doing dissolves, I did superimpositions, I used Gaussian Blur, I used Glow, I did a speed ramp up an down for fun, I flipped around a 4k four track video timeline with no lag and, as my astonishment grew, I realized that this was the first problem free editing session I'd experience
There's a court filing by Dolby somewhere that has been posted elsewhere. When you are credibly threatened with legal suit by a large company over the continued use of their product in yours, what the heck do you expect someone to do?So ... when Dolby requires Adobe to immediately stop allowing use or access of "their property" ... in this case, coding to process ac3 audio ... do you expect Adobe to simply ignore the legalities of the situation? And ... in that case ... I'm trying to figure out why Adobe is to blame here. Dolby is the company requiring Adobe shut off access or use of anything whatever relating to ac3 in their product (PrPro). Why aren't you complaining to or about Dolby? Would seem at least logical. Or at the very least, acknowledging this is a two-party dance and allotting the blame between them.Neil
I want to recreate a 3d scene with people moving from room to room in a house. What software would be best to use?
It's been a long time since I was involved with broadcast tv, Are title and action areas still used? Watching both the football world cup and F1 all of their captions are outside the safe area.
Thank you Adobe, for still not fixing this unbelievable C200 workflow in your latest update. Other big problems like fixing the Black Magic file workflow still are not solved either. It's hard to work professionally under these given circumstances, everything takes ages and workarounds which makes you lose credit with your client.Just wanted to let you know I'll switch to Da Vinci Resolve for future projects and skip my Adobe subscription because though I love your product, I cannot afford losing jobs because of some unability to fix some basic problems.BestPhil
This is total garbage!!!!Adobe should have gone back to GRAPHICS/TITLE software that works! We have been putting up with re-installing and AVOIDING their title software for over a year. Time to switch to different software and stop paying Adobe $79 a month.Creative Cloud is a pile of unreliable garbage re-engineered by the Adobe Engineering Team from Hell. Paul Rosa
There’s a lot of things I’ve loved about using Premiere over the last ~15 years, but the overwhelming amount of bugs is not one of them. It’s more buggy than any other established software I use on any of my devices - by a long way. It doesn’t feel right to charge a subscription to me when I’m having to deal with multiple workarounds and bugs that really get in the way of my work and deadlines. Why not just test it more? Have a community of beta testers to find the problems before releasing new features to everyone. Most of us would prefer more reliable software than software with experimental new innovations which we can’t rely on for our work. Here’s some of my latest bugs (can your staff submit the bug reports or do I have to?)Thanks Bin window: Search filter doesn’t workhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZHqF-BvelpUtgLESRFh5UXdJVCubs6M6/view Persistent filter (can’t delete it!)https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c_cx6tqeyqg64cLERhQjw7VddNkxMFdd/view Phantom waveforms on audio files: htt
That's awfully good of you to recommend that course of action. I see that you are "Staff". [Comment removed: edited for content].Here's the scoop: you know very well that reporting a bug to Adobe is pointless. I have spoken recently with a developer of plugins who said that there are bugs which he has been trying to get Adobe to fix for 4 years. That's four years.Indeed, the whole Premiere Pro edifice is so shaky that anyone editing other than simple cuts will immediately face never ending crashes. If you plop more than, say, 4 plugins into a shot you will face massive rendering times and system collapse. I believe that this is because Premiere Pro, in current form, is compromised by the fact that it is about 20 years old (possibly more) and the foundation is weak. All sorts of turrets and crenelations have been built onto this castle - including renaming and repackaging it. These changes are simply lipstick on a pig.It is my belief that Adobe is intentionally and negligently selling a
Hi guysI just saw that Sy has been discontinued and is going the way of OnLocation. It's a shame, but I'm not surprised. It seems Adobe wanted this one to die for a long time. I tried to use it several times, but the support and guidance was almost non-existent. It could have been a valuable part of the Adobe's so called creative process for video and related work. The fact it did not tie into other products isn't Story's fault...
Here here ... I so totally agree. Stop messing around attempting to give us new features which turn out to be barely usable and get down to the nitty gritty of fixing the basics of the program ... we all know the issues. And, since there are those who have had some success in reverting to PP 2017, why the hell didn't Adobe tell us about this? I must have called the so-called tech support line a dozen times this year asking about fixes to all the problems other members have mentioned above and never was a directed to revert to cc2017. (Comment removed)We have all wasted massive amounts of time trying to tame this awful program. I know that I spend the same amount of time recovering from crashes and finding workarounds as I do actually editing. And if there is anywhere else on this board to post this message, please tell me - or copy this message over to a different forum.Let me hear from you, please,Harry.Moderator Warning: Please do not discuss legal action or rant on these forums. I think I am not the only one saying this but.. WE NEED the Dolby codec back again in Premiere CC 2018.I work everyday with DVDs and Blu-rays, importing and exporting AC3 2.0/5.1.
Adobe,I am a paying customer that is becoming increasingly tired of the bugs that you fail to test out before an update is released and it in turn costs your customers their time and their money on projects. You are at risk of losing many customers on here with so many neglected and serious bugs. How can you not already have an update for something as simple and yet crucial as importing image sequences (especially DPX sequences) and .MOV files with codecs like H.264, JPEG2000, and Animation? All of this worked in earlier versions, and now it doesn't?I have contacted customer support about this several times and all I hear is "try an older version" or "we are working on it and have no estimate as to when an update can be released". I have tried older versions and it does not help me since NONE of the project files that have been saved in recent versions of your software is backwards compatible. So I end up being stuck losing project files that I work on, not being able to import, edit, o
Try Resolve. It's become a competent NLE, comes with the equivalent of After Effects and Audition built-in, doesn't need any kind of Internet access to function, and is free.
After 20+ years of support I can't take the unreliability of your products one more minute.Cant believe I'm ditching Apple AND Adobe in the same year yet here we are.Thought I'd post this for anyone else wanting to announce their departure...I have a feeling a mass exodus is pending...GOOD LUCK....
Typical Premiere Pro... always have to do something extra to make this piece of crap work like its supposed to. Hours of work lost...
I have just watched the Soccer European Cup Final in 4K streamed to my OLED TV via BT Sports YouTube channel. Every time anyone passed the ball it disappeared until it stopped moving when it came back again. Would make some boring games more interesting.
