Question

Is Rush going to get updated, replaced or discontinued?

At this point, something has to happen with this app!

Anyone know?

It would be great if they just knocked off Capcut.

CapCut is everything Adobe should be looking to replicate after introducing Adobe Express (which is essentially just a weaker Canva. )

Mod notes: Moved to the Video Lounge. The title was changed from all caps. Please avoid doing that in the future.

All I'm hearing is that Adobe doesn't care about this app and hasn't put any effort into improving it.

Consensus: Capcut is a WAY more powerful program at this stage of mobile editing software, and there's no point in bothering with this sub-par program anymore. It was great when it was competing with imovie, but both of these programs have been overshadowed and drop kicked into obsolescence since by the far superior Capcut. To be silly about it, Loose this zero, get with the new hero.

The problem is i pay for adobe and wish I didnt have to worry about Capcuts safety. But Capcuts ease of use is so great I may just load it to my desktop and take the risk. Its madness. I dont know why Adobe is ignoring this market and yet using video influencers for adobe marketing? It doesnt add up.

With the addition of Film Impact to Premiere Pro and the soon-to-be-released Premiere Pro for iPhone, Premiere Pro for iPad, and eventually Premiere Pro for Abdroid, I'm thinking that Adobe is taking CapCut seriously.

They've also made changes to make Premiere Pro much easier to use, namely a very simplified New Project dialog box and the first Workspace called "Starter".

Sure, mastering Premiere Pro isn't something to jump into without some formal training or mentoring, but neither is video pre-production or video production.

Is Adobe Premiere Rush going to be Discontinued?

I have seen a few things on Google about it being discontinued.

Does anyone know what is happening?

I use it all the time, I do not want to lose Rush.

Desktop and or mobile version??

These are good questions.

It does tend to feel like Rush has huge, untapped potential, right?

There was an update seven months ago, but I am not sure it got a lot of attention.  Based on how often we see updates for Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, seven months since the last update can feel like an app has been abandoned.  This could cause some worry about what is happening with Rush.  Then there are other things.  The update did not include what may be the most requested feature:  reverse video.  One of Rush’s best conveniences (easily switching devices) went away with the discontinuation of Adobe’s equivalent of Dropbox/OneDrive/iCloud Drive type cloud storage.  Also, we see a lot about future features coming to Premiere Pro and nothing about future features coming to Rush.

I have not heard anything about it being a replacement for Rush, but have you checked out Adobe Project Violet for iPad and iPhone? It's there to download and use.

As far as Rush being discontinued goes, nothing has been announced (at least not that I have heard of).  When Adobe discontinued Prelude, there was a pretty good amount of advance notification.  If this happened to Rush, I think we would have similar notice.

Adobe generally does NOT talk about future plans in public forums

IF Adobe is doing anything with that program any Beta test people are not allowed to comment until Adobe goes public with any future plans

So, it is very unlikely that anyone here knows anything about Adobe's plans
