No software runs perfect.

Resolve is NOT ROCK SOLID!!! Anyone who has read their forums and public forums know this as a fact.

That PPro has issues is undeniable but let's be factual here. Otherwise, this is all pointless and counter productive.

The main reason for the number of releases have been bug fixes. I don't suppose you're complaining about that?

And they've got a number of remaining issues needing to be fixed, clearly.

As to Resolve being so much better ... I work with a lot of colorists nearly daily. And they are based more in Resolve of course. Currently, as of 30 September 2019, there are shops that have never used a single version of Resolve 15.x in their shop as for their facility, they couldn't test and find a stable version. They're asking on LGG forum and elsewhere what experiences people have with certain features used in 16.x, to see if maybe they can finally update.

Other folks are actually working from the  16.x public betas.

So ... for probably the majority of pro users, Resolve has had several versions very stable through the 15.x release cycle. For other pro users there wasn't a single 15.x build that was stable.

Which is quite a bit like Premiere actually. The majority of users are working away. Some are hammered with bugs. And some of us (like me) are working away in both, but bothered by a few bugs that I can get around even if it's irritating.

One big problem I have with Resolve ... their model is to sell you software to get you to buy hardware. Clearly. So ... they want you to use THEIR control surfaces, which only work with their software. The $30,000 advanced panel if they can, the Mini or Micro if you won't pony up the 30G's.

I've got a Tangent Elements panel here, dearly love that rig. In Premiere, they keep opening up other items to be mapped to the Tangent hub software that runs the panel. You can even work clip mixer pots from the knobs on the Elements panel. Soon, we may even get to run the Track mixer audio controls from the Elements or Wave panels.

I can map the heck out of that panel in Premiere.

No can do in Resolve. They lock out all but a few things at any one time, the vast majority of the panel is 'dark' most of the time. And users are NOT allowed to change one tiny thing.

I use that panel all the time anymore when editing in Premiere. Can't do a thing with it editing in Resolve. Hmmm ... yea, sticking with Premiere for most things.
