Question

The utter lack of relevant, accurate documentation is maddening.

The answers below are useless. They do not refer to the Current version. As ADOBE updates the software, they quickly invalidate any user-generated "help."

The utter lack of relevant, accurate documentation is maddening. Relying on "the user community" to do the work the developers should have done is good modern corporate strategy and terrible for users.

I have purchased dozens of licenses for ADOBE products over the past 27 years. Once, these were first-rate products that performed as described in adequate documentation and that did not crash when doing extraordinarily complicated, demanding actions like "pasting."

Now, the company had adopted the Microsoft strategy of delivering and hoping their consumers will accept any execrable product they foist upon us.

I wonder if anyone is now proud to admit they work for Adobe.

Are you referering to the Premiere Pro User Guide?  As of my writing this reply, that was updated June 28, 2022.

The What's New is probably best section to keep an eye on for each Adobe application used (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

The online user documentation is not 100% up-to-date, but it doesn't lag too far behind the current release and is updated much, much faster and more frequently than options like the Adobe Classroom in a Book.  Aside from that, I'm not sure there's a better way to keep current than interacting with experienced users and this support community (which, importantly, is accessible to everyone at no cost - even without an active subscription).  Adobe is also active via socia media channels like Adobe Video on Facebook.  Then there are also user groups for both in-person and online interaction.

While it's understandable to be frustrated with the size of a company like Adobe and knowing where to look for user imformation and support, "I wonder if anyone is now proud to admit they work for Adobe" is not a fair assesment.  Would this support community exist if that were the case?  And Adobe proudly supports diversity and inclusing among its customers and employees as they explore creative self-expression.

There's a wealth of knowledge to be found in these forums and a little courtesy geos a long way.

Most of the time I cannot find a darn thing in the User Guide.

The search is hopeless. Have to use Google.

Do you start your search with "Adobe helpx" followed by the application name?  If find that if don't do that exactly, I wind up with results about Photohsop, Illustrator and something else rather than going right to Premeire Pro or Media Encoder or InDesign (or whichever app).

I miss the printed user guides from when After Effects 4 was new, assuming someone hadn't walked off with it.  I kept mine hidden and made photocopies.
