There are serious issues with CPU and GPU usage on the PC side as seen in the video link below. Not sure if it affects the M1 chips.

Moderator: OT. Branched and moved. The OP is on Mac M1, not PC. This thread turned into several rants, so the thread is here now. Thank you for understanding.

Are you going to post this video to any topics related to less than optimal performance?

Agreed. I'm dropping frames on a M1 MAX playing back XAVC footage from a C70.

Something is broken and they don't know how to fix it.

I'm confused how performance issues like this are happening this late after the M1 dropped. Someone higher up is not getting feedback from tech support because this issue is gonna lose them business.

There are M1s that are screaming, and some that most certainly aren't. Why the difference? No freaking clue. They've got a fair number of M1's in the devs usage, so they're quite familiar with them in action. But ... what's the diff where some work and some fritz? Puzzler.

Makes no sense. On 22.4 my fans now turn on when editing two layers of XAVC footage. Like, what did they do to their software to be THIS bad? I haven't had the fans turn on once since owning it for 4 months.
