I am going through the same thing. .

NO updates work. and I have spent the last few months daily dealing with THE HEAD OFF ADOBE DVA

THEY HAVE NO ANSWERS

    I was having these crashes constantly. Rolled my machine back to High Sierra from Mojave & haven't had a single crash in days editing an effect-heavy sequence w/4 layers of 4k footage.

    I have had serious problems on 2 different brand new base-model 8-coreiMac Pros now while editing videos in Premiere Pro. Multiple crash reports sent to Adobe - and Apple - yet this problem persists. I've even had Apple completely replace and send me a brand new iMac because my computer was locking up and then restarting on its own on a very regular basis. Now my new replacement locks up and freezes, requiring a hard reset.

    When I called Apple, the agent actually referenced the OP (which adobe locked for some reason?), and she advised me to try switching to Metal and a few other of the suggestion - but the problem persists.

    So far, no resolution. My $5,800 iMac pro is now a paperweight in my office until something happens to it.

    Jordan that is not correct and not relative to this thread.  I have consistently offered to help you with your issues and you haven't taken me up on it.
