Hi, I am relatively new to Premier Pro, though have started getting to grips with it.

Just wondering if there are any tips on features that I can use relatively easily, to make my coaching videos really pop and look professional.

All great tips on this very gratefully accepted! Thanks in advance!

Adding to what Ann said... what camera are you using, and what recording settings?

I recently went on a Caribbean cruise and, to go with warm weather and "cargo shorts" with big pockets I took my Canon 500 camera since it was easy to carry

The Canon 500 does an "OK" job with video (this is strictly for home use, to go on a DVD) but the sound was only good inside or on a totally calm day... the least bit of wind caused a problem with the recorded sound

My bigger Canon 510 camera has a wind filter function... but I didn't want a bigger camera hanging from a strap around my neck

So, bottom line of all that... be sure you are using a good camera and you have all the setting in the camera right for fast moving scenes and the possibility of wind noise if you are outside

Hi John,

All the footage has been shot inside with good lighting on a Sony FDR AX-100 in 4K.

The raw footage is looking good, and sounds good to thanks to an external mic.

Just need to really make the edited product look great!

Pop and looking really professional starts with the footage.

Crappy filmed footage will result in crappy output (garbage in - garbage out).

What kind of footage do you have?

Hi Ann,

I have some good footage. Decent background and lighting, filmed in 4K on a Sony FDR AX-100 with a good external mic.

It is editing tips I am after, ideas on how to use Premier Pro effectively.

I know it is powerful and have worked out a few things, making things zoom in and out smoothly with transitions.

Just wondering if there are some quality tips that I can put into action easily that will have great effect.
