Hello @Pedro Queiroga,
I moved your post so we can discuss your dissatisfaction with the software. I hope the community can provide some perspective.
It's fantastic that you're an editor; it's where I spent most of my career, too, much of it using digital NLEs (Avid Media, Composer, Media 100, Final Cut Pro, and now Premiere Pro). These kinds of things have happened to me, too, like a project crashing after updating. It's happened so often that I try not to panic and work through such issues logically.
I used to blame all my ills on the software after updating, but I've learned over the years that issues like this can be avoided. The first rule of thumb is to avoid updating software while in the middle of a project. Wait until the current project is wrapped. Update only if you have trouble with significant bugs or badly need a new feature.
Some editors say there is never a time when at least one project is in motion, which I get. In that case, wait until the optimal time to update when the amount of mission-critical projects is ebbing. If a project is acting up after updating, create a new project and then import the old one into the new one.
Deleting the media cache can help if you crash a project after updating software. I make it a habit. Try deleting the media cache by pressing Shift at launch to get the option to delete it.
With these rules of thumb in mind, you can have a lot better luck working on a project if you are forced to update it mid-project.
Good luck!
Kevin
