Why Adobe Premiere is slower?

The issue at hand is as follows:

Adobe has a vast number of employees. They find themselves in the predicament of constantly needing to make system modifications. They are under pressure, and therefore, action is necessary. However, their actions don't always lead to improvements; on the contrary, as evidenced in recent years, Adobe's performance has worsened. It has become slower and more complex. Features that used to work flawlessly now perform terribly. The ideal solution would be to refrain from downloading the latest versions. However, the challenge lies in the fact that not updating could result in certain functions ceasing to work.

In essence, there is no definitive solution. It's necessary to come to terms with the fact that Adobe will continue to make modifications, even if they lead to deterioration. What concerns me about this situation is whether the same occurs in the design of cars or airplanes, for example. Countless engineers are compelled to make changes, even if these changes might worsen things. It's truly baffling; I'm growing more averse to this with each passing day. Frankly, I would prefer to be out in the fields picking tomatoes instead of wasting time in front of the computer due to a bunch of incompetents.

Hi @carlosa73141914

Issues come up now and again, but I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects daily with some Audition and InDesign now and again.  While I install the current versions to keep up ot date with what's new, I don't remove the older versions and usually use those.  For example, even though After Effects 23.6 is installed, I usually open projects with 22.6.5; however, I'm really looking forward to taking advantage the Properties Panel.  At least Multi-Frame Rendering is in 22.6.5 and cache frames while idle.  I have several cores and a good amount of RAM, so those really help get work done faster.

If you'd like to compare configurations, let me know.  I'm happy to post details.

Also, what functions have stopped working for you?  3D was removed from Photoshop which - even though I didn't use it too often - I miss.  Postscript Type 1 fonts being discontinued wasn't ideal, but at least there was plenty of lead time.  Awhile ago, support for Dolby was discontinued, but I never used that too often (DVD authoring was all done in DVD Studio Pro).  Exporting to MP4 directly in After Effects ended when Apple discontinued QuickTime, but that's since returned.
