Hello @Melodic_Rhapsody7929
I hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing the details, and sorry for the trouble.
Your distinction regarding the Conversion Restrictions is valid. That clause applies when Reader is used to convert or transform PDFs into another file format, such as TIFF, JPEG, or SVG. Printing an existing PDF is not described as conversion.
The more relevant provision is server use. The Reader EULA does not generally permit installing or using Reader on a server. Adobe’s Distribution License provides a limited exception for client access through Windows Terminal Services, Citrix, or similar virtualisation. Still, it states that no other server or network use is permitted, including robotic process automation. Check this article for more info: https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/legal/licenses-terms/pdf/Reader-EULA-en_US_20220701.pdf
Because your server-side application launches Reader and prints without an interactive user initiating the operation, the published terms do not appear to authorise that workflow, even though Windows Server 2022 is technically listed as a supported operating system. https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/desktop/system-requirements.html
Therefore, the concern is not the conversion clause, but the unattended server-side use. For a definitive contractual determination or any separate licensing option, please contact the Enterprise support team via the Admin console: https://helpx.adobe.com/business/enterprise/get-help/support-options/support-for-enterprise.html
I hope this helps, and please reach out if you have any questions.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
