Hi Darkstarjammer,

As i was able to understand the issue, you are getting above-mentioned application error when closing Acrobat Reader, is that correct?

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1- Check is an update is available for Reader by clicking "check for updates" under "Help".

2- If there aren't any, run Reader in compatibility mode- locate Reader's shortcut > right click > Properties.

Compatibility tab > check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows 7 from the drop-down.

Click Apply > OK  and try again.

3- If that doesn't work, download and run cleaner tool from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs ,Reboot the machine after running the tool, download Reader from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution, Reboot the machine after installation and try again.

Could you let us know the version currently installed on the machine? You may refer to this link on how to: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC And, the operating system installed on the machine?

Thanks,

Shivam
