Question

21.001.20138 Does Not Find Text

After upgrading from 20.013.20074 to 21.001.20135 the Adobe Acrobat Reader reported no match when searching for text that did exist.

This behavior persists now after upgrading to 21.001.20138.

This is shown in attached image with \Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\Welcome.pdf.

Is this a known issue?

Any suggestions on how to correct?

Thank you!

Hi MIKE1549,

We have informed our engineering teams regarding this issue and we will let you know once the bug has been fixed. For now, we have a workaround for the issue where Find (CTRL+F) is not working.

Please follow the steps mentioned at: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/unable-to-search-text-in-pdf.html

Let us know if it's working for you or not.

Thanks

Thank yo for your prompt response.

I followed the prescribed steps to Purge Cached Documents, but Adobe Acrobat Reader 21.001.20138 still reports "No matches were found" when I enter a text string that does exist in the current PDF file.
