Question

65mb to Excel file "File failed to be converted"

I have a 65mb 2309 pages PDF file in columnous format trying to convert it to Excel format.  I have the basic subscription of ExportPDF on my PC with Windows 7.  When I found ExportPDF, I thought this is definitely worth the money for what I want to do.

After a few tries from both Google Chrome and Adobe Reader XI, they all failed.  First I got the message "Uploading file to Adobe ExportPDF online", then "Converting file to Excel using Adobe ExportPDF online", eventually I got "File failed to be converted using Adobe ExportPDF online", but one time I got "The conversion failed because the file is taking too long to process."

I've been ready forum on this issue, some claim there is a 100mb limit.  Some claim it only works for 3mb or under.  Can someone help me?  Appreciate you advice in advance.

I demanded that I need technical services, so they connected me to one.  This one was very helpful, offered to install trial version Acrobat Pro DC, took her almost 4 hours (imagine I do it), I found the split file function, split it into 2 files, first one with 1200 pages, next with 1109 pages (25mb). then the 1200 to two 150 pages (6-9mb), 300 pages (8mb), and 600 pages (15mb).  Exported each to Excel individually, all converted.

But there are big problems: the first page has only the last few lines, remaining pages all missing 14 lines.  With 2309 pages, manual correction is out of the question.  Anyone has any idea what I should do next?

Can cut and paste from Acrobat Pro over hundred/thousand pages an alternative?  I'm OK with Access VBA to decode them.

Hi andret83603058,

As per your query, Adobe Export PDF service is capable of converting 100 Mb PDF file to other format however in some situations Even when a file is smaller than 100 MB, ExportPDF may not be able to convert it if it's overly complex. For example, a file that has a large number of pages, or contains many different fonts and graphics, could be too complex for ExportPDF to process before the service times out.

For more information on this and for basic troubleshooting steps please go through the below mentioned help article:
