able to delete a file without closing adobe

occasionally, I have to clean the computer, and delete unused PDFs. there is no way to do this without opening the file.
but I wanted a way to, after knowing what it refers to, delete the pdf file without showing the error message: "The file is open in another program (Reader). I can delete pictures, but not pdfs.
It's possible?
