accidentally locked file

Hi.  I somehow accidently locked a pdf file in Adobe Reader Ver 2015, but never assigned it a password.  It now has a lock icon next to it and I can't open it or even delete it!  All I want to do is delete it but when I try it says I need Administrator permission.  I am the administrator but also went and tried to change the file to where it was accessible to useres and everyone, but still no luck?  Any suggestions?

    There are no settings in Adobe Reader that would password protect a pdf file. Are you using the free Acrobat Reader or are you using the paid-for version of Acrobat?

    When you try and delete it your system tells you you need an administrative password to delete it. That is totally a system thing. Even a passworded pdf can be deleted.

    This doesn't sound like an Adobe Reader issue at all. Sounds more like something on your OS.

    Well it happened when I was changing settings in Adobe. I was trying to upload the file to a website and it kept telling me it was password protected which it wasn't so I started changing settings in Adobe

    Acrobat Reader can't add or remove passwords.
