Acrobat 23.0 - Scan and text detection does not work!

Hi, I used to use Acrobat to convert scanned magazines using OCR into readable pages. In Version 23 Acrobat always "stops"  - does stop to work and has to get hard-closed. Nothing works anymore! Any experiences with that or ideas how to get the once running feature back to work?
