With large files (about 15 MB) Acrobat crashes.

Did you find the same behaviour? Is there a way to fix it?

Hi Jazzking76,

As per above-mentioned description, Acrobat is crashing when opening large pdf files, is that correct?

Try changing following settings in Acrobat and see if that resolves the issue:

Launch Acrobat > click Edit > Preferences > 3D & Multimedia

Under renderer options > click the preferred renderer to DirectX if it isn't already.

And, uncheck the box enable hardware rendering for legacy video cards.

Click OK > relaunch Acrobat and try again.

Could you let us know the version of Acrobat you have on the machine? To check the version: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC And, the operating system installed on the machine- Mac/Windows?

Thanks,

Shivam

I tried the suggested solutions but nothing worked.

My Acrobat version is:  17.012.20098 and the o.s. is Windows 10 Fall creators update.

Thanks

Would it be possible for you to share one of the pdf file with us? You may create the link for the file using Adobe's send and track and share the link via private message.

To create a link:

(1) Visit this link: https://cloud.acrobat.com/send

(2) Click  Add files > choose files from my computer

(3) Select the file > create link. You can copy paste the link here in the forums or send a private message by hovering the mouse over person's username and click Message.
