Question

Acrobat crashing

I have an old computer running windows business vista.  Today I was beginning to work on my taxes and printed up some documents, and saved others.  When I went to read through the saved ones, Acrobat crashed.  I understand that the latest version of Acrobat is not compatible with Windows Vista.  Can I download version 10?  As soon as I can, I am going to buy a new computer, but I need access to my saved files now.

    Hi robertd1127860,

You may try installing Reader XI on your computer first from the link given below and see if that works?

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions (select the operating system, language, and version from the drop-down options available on the downloads page).

If Reader XI doesn't work properly, you may try downloading Reader X from this link: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

Let me know if you have any issue while installation.

    Thank You,

    Shivam

Thank you for your answer, but neither suggestion worked.  The second link brought up an index which I didn't know how to deal with.  What I am upset about is that it appears that users of Windows Vista were abandoned by Adobe without warning.  No downloads are available for Vista users.

    Hi robertd1127860,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Windows Vista is an old Operating System and is no longer supported by Adobe.

    Try clicking 10.x > 10.0.1 > en_US/ and download the .exe file.

Let me know if there is an issue while following the steps.
