Question

Acrobat DC Crashing with Specific File

I have a document that I have been using for quite some time. It's a fillable form which also allows me to import from previous versions of that form. So when the creator issues a new update, it's a new document, so in order to keep my information, I have to import to the new version. It's also only usable with Acrobat DC.

I've never had an issue with using it or importing to it until about a month ago. Now whenever I try to import from an old file, Acrobat DC crashes. I've been using the exact same version of this document for months without issue when the issue popped up. Again, it's only when I import, otherwise it works fine, Here is what else I can tell you in the hopes you can help me figure out how to fix the issue:

1)I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and am using OS 10.14.6, but I believe this issue appeared before the latest update.

2) When I installed Acrobat DC on my wife's 2015 Macbook Pro, her computer had no issue importing from an old file. Neither does my friend, who is using a PC, so it seems to be an issue with my computer.

3) I don't have any anti-virus software running at all times and the software I do use has been on the computer since before I had issues with the file.

4) I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the Acrobat DC.

5) I downloaded and used a trial version of DC Pro and it had the exact same issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What is the difference between step 4 and 5? Presumably Acrobat Pro DC is what you were using originally. What version do you have?

So, sorry! I set this up to send me an email notification if anyone responded, but that never happened. The version I have is 19.12.20040.345140. And the difference between 4 and 5 is that I'm using the free Acrobat DC and tried downloading the trial version of the Pro version of Acrobat DC in the hopes it was the free version that was the problem. It seems it's something with my computer.
