Question

Acrobat DC Slow Preview Pane

When navigating files through explorer with the preview pane enabled, each file takes ~2 seconds to load the preview pane. This only has been happening on Windows 10 machines.  Under Windows 7, the preview pane loaded immediately (<.5 sec).

It's slowed down my workflow tremendously, as I rely on the preview pane to verify what document I'm renaming.  If I'm looking for a specific one out of 10, I have to wait the 2 seconds between each one.  Even clicking the down arrow a few times will only go to the next one and pause while it opens.

I've still not found a solution for this problem.  I've just had to deal with it.

The one solution that seems to work is to uninstall Adobe anytime I want to use the preview pane extensively. I wish there was a way to just install Acrobat without integrating it into anything Microsoft or Windows. Adobe integration into Office is unnecessarily redundant and inhibits functionality.

Mine as well. Whenever I have Adobe Acrobat installed, the preview pane takes 12 - 15 seconds to load a PDF. Without Adobe installed it's practically instantaneous.

Mine as well.  However for me the preview now takes 20+ seconds.  If anyone has an idea on how to solve could you please post a reply?  thank you
