Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server (LOCKED: Duplicate Thread)

I just installed the latest edition of the reader from your website and now I get an error message whenever I try to open a PDF file: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server".

I'm on the latest edition of Windows 10 Pro.

Can you help me please resolve this, I need to open PDF files.
