"Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected" message after re-install

After adobe auto updated recently, it was getting hung up when opening files. So I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall and now I am getting a message when I try to open any file "Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected." My windows 10 is also prompting me "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" which it never prompted before.
