The Acrobat DC icon has taken over the Applications icon on my iMac.  I see solutions for this on a Windows machine.  How about for a Mac?

Hi jillenl45842382,

Sorry for the delay in response.

You have mentioned that Acrobat DC icon has taken over the applications on iMac, by that do you mean that all the applications icon changed to Acrobat icon?

Did you try to change the default program for the applications? If no, please try once to change the default program.

Did you make any changes after which all icons get converted?

Regards,

Meenakshi

Thanks for responding.

When I downloaded the latest version of Acrobat Reader for my MAC and installed it, the little icon, the black box with the red outline and the white squiggle, took over ONLY the Applications icon on the DOCK.  Just the one icon on the Dock.  So on the DOCK, now,  I have the Adobe icon and I also have the Applications icon and they look exactly the same:  the little black box with the red outline and the white squiggle that looks like an A.

The applications open fine and work fine.  It’s just the icon that has been usurped.  It’s unsettling.
