Acrobat not working correctly

So I scanned a PDF file onto my computer and need to put it into a word document, but I post it into Acrobat and it looks fine, but when I put it into Word, it does not look like actual words. The document setting is set to English but it doesn't work. How do I fix this?

    This is the free Reader forum, not the Acrobat one. In any case, try selecting a couple of word in your PDF file. If you can't, you have no text in your file, but an image of text. If this is the case, you can try using an OCR application.
