Acrobat Performance Issues and Crashing/Freezing

I recently installed the CC suite on my new 2018 MacBook Pro, and coming from CS6, this jump has been nothing short of glorious with all of the new additions, enhancements, and quality of life improvements.  However, I seem to be having an issue with my Acrobat DC.  Anytime I reboot the Mac, once it has booted up, Acrobat opens, occasionally even freezing up, followed by the Report and Reopen dialogue boxes.  Other times, just trying to use the program can be a hassle.  It either won't open, won't close (even prohibiting me from accessing Force Quit), or it is just running very slow and almost choppy.  Is this common in Acrobat, or this version?  Aside from a complete reinstall of Acrobat, are there any other fixes I could try?  Or something to prevent it from trying to open at boot up?

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.010.20069

Hey Sam,

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience.

We see that you are running the most recent version of Acrobat DC. Since its crashing with with the latest update as well, so you may try couple of troubleshooting steps suggested below and see if that makes any improvement-
