Acrobat Pro Crashing when opening layered PDF

We have this one user when he opens a layered PDF makes the application crash. He is opening the app on a terminal server and he is the only affected user, all other users can open the layered file and it's this only layered file that is affected too. 

 

Reinstalling the app is out of the question and we have already tried restoring original preferences in the windows registry.

 

Another workaround that we tried is to use the optimize tool in the Adobe app but that didn't worked still.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/3F8SwI6.

 

If the issue still persists, you have to remove the installed app and reinstall it. If the PDF is still not opening, try refreshing the user profile.
