Acrobat Quit Unexpectedly When Opening a Fillable Form
When opening a PDF form, Acrobat Reader crashes as soon as the cursor is positioned on a fillable field in the form. The form has been in use for a while without issues. Problem just started happening yesterday. Running the most current version of Acrobat Reader on a Windows 10 PC. No issues opening other PDF's. Problem seems to only happen when opening a form. Reader doesn't crash right away. It stays running until the cursor is positioned on any fillable field. The same form can be opened and filled on other computers without getting the error.
Here's what I've tried:
- Installed the latest Acrobat Reader updates
- Repaired installation
- Uninstalled Acrobat Reader and removed Adobe folders from
C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files\Common Files
C:\Program Files (x86), C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files
C:\ProgramData
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming
C:\Users\username\AppData\Locallow
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local
- Re-installed Acrobat Reader and installed latest updates
Arobat Reader still quits unexpectedly.
Windows Reliability & Problem History shows the following

Through trial and error, I discovered that if I open the PDF by first launching Acrobat Reader and then opening it from the Recently Opened list or File Open dialog, Acrobat does not crash. It only happens if I double-click the icon of the PDF form to open it. However, if Acrobat is already running, it won't crash. It only happens if Acrobat is not running before double-clicking the icon of the PDF form.
Any troubleshooting suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks
