Acrobat reader 8 in vista

I use my vista pc for history and many PDF books

today at once all stopped and i cant open it anymore

it close direct runtime error no support

what is happening and what can i do to solve this problem please

    Adobe Reader 8 was not designed for Vista.

    So, please update the application to Adobe Reader 10 or you may refer to the link below to download the Reader DC application and see if you still get any errors:

    Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
